Republicans question Biden ally’s ‘suspicious’ ties to China: ‘Biden Inc. deeply intertwined with CCP’

Republicans are again sounding alarm bells over the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) potential influence on the White House following a report of questionable connections between a longtime ally of President Joe Biden and a company whose founder was praised by Chinese President Xi Jinping as a “pioneer of reform of private enterprises.”

The former Ambassador to China under former President Barack Obama, Max Baucus, founded with his wife the Max S. Baucus Institute at the University of Montana School of Law in 2017, after their return from China.

Last month, Fox News Digital (FND) reports, the institute released its annual report in which it thanked Wanxiang Group, a Chinese company that is one of the Institute’s “major” corporate sponsors.

The founder of Wanxiang Group, Lu Guanqiu, died in 2017. Four years later, in 2021, the CCP posthumously awarded Lu the title of “National Outstanding Communist Party Member.”

The tie to Baucus would perhaps go unnoticed were it not for the fact that Baucus, who was also the longest-serving U.S. senator in Montana’s history, has a cozy relationship with both President Biden and his son Hunter, frequently praising the elder Biden during his 2020 campaign.

Hunter “boasted about having a ‘very good relationship’ with Ambassador Baucus prior to his business associates arranging multiple meetings with him, according to emails,” FND reports.

And both the Bidens have ties to Wanxiang Group through the many questionable deals made by Hunter while his father was vice president.

“We’ve known for a long time that Biden Inc. is deeply intertwined with the CCP,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn) told FND. “It is not surprising that those associated with the Bidens, including former Ambassador Baucus, are also involved in potentially shady dealings with Beijing. We must put an end to the never-ending methods Communist China utilizes to peddle influence in the USA.”

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) says the Republican-controlled House will discover the extent of China’s influence over Biden and how it impacts U.S. national security.

“The ties to money with China have always been there, they are a huge source of money,” Higgins said.  “As these shady business dealings continue to be revealed, the American people must know the extent of Joe ‘Big Guy’ Biden’s involvement and what it means for our national security.”

“These recent developments are just a small cog in the big wheel of the Biden crime family’s suspicious activities,” he continued. “This evidence is exactly why Congress is working to get ahold of the 148 bank-triggered suspicious activity reports that are being concealed from us.”

“As the 118th continues, we will be more deeply involved in the investigations of their operations,” he vowed. “Our top priority will be looking into evidence that suggests actual criminal intent and organized crime. We will have every individual identified and every dollar tracked.”

Meanwhile, the Baucus Institute is currently offering a China study abroad program, called the “Baucus Institute-Wanxiang Fellow Summer Study Abroad Program.”

University of Montana students travel to Hangzhou as part of the program, which is co-hosted by the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), which was founded by top CCP official Tung Chee-hwa.

“Tung is vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which is part of the CCP’s united front system, which operates to advance the party’s interests at home and abroad,” FND explains. “According to the Baucus Institute’s website, the China study abroad program is almost fully funded by CUSEF.”
