A freshman House Democrat sought to make a name for himself by calling for the Oversight Committee to haul Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in front of Congress for a grilling over his supposed limiting of free speech, a typically ridiculous statement from one of the left-wing party’s mouthy young guns who specialize in shooting from the hip, often suffering self-inflicted wounds as a result.
The idea to interrogate DeSantis was proposed by 26-year-old Maxwell Frost, a newbie whose Central Florida district is the home of the venue that stands to have its liquor license revoked over hosting a Christmas-themed drag show where underage children were subjected to lewd and lascivious content performed by sex-obsessed men dressed up as women.
Rep. Frost, an activist and musician who was elected by voters in Orlando’s 10th congressional district in November despite no actual hands-on experience in national politics, popped off during Wednesday’s committee meeting, quickly proving that he has little understanding of the process or the limitations of his party in the GOP-controlled House of Representatives.
“I have a venue in my district that he’s revoking the liquor license of trying to close because they had a drag show. We have teachers who are not able to teach the curriculum that they want because they disagree with Ron DeSantis and his view of the world,” he said.

“That is limiting free speech and I’d love to see this committee bring in some of these governors who are abusing their power by Governor DeSantis in my state of Florida to limit the free speech of people,” Frost added.
Last week, the DeSantis administration filed a six-count legal complaint against the Orlando Philharmonic Foundation, stating that it exposed “minor children to lewd sexual acts during a drag show that took place on December 28,” a move that could result in the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation revoking the venue’s liquor license, a strong message to other establishments who allow perverts to groom kids under their roofs.
The show in question was a Christmas-themed event billed as “A Drag Queen Christmas” that featured a skit with “Screwdolph the Red Nippled Reindeer” in which the lyrics for the beloved holiday classic song were subbed out with sexually degenerate filth, a perverted performance that was defended by Florida Democrats.

Congressman Frost’s misguided effort to assert his progressive privilege received a well-deserved response from Twitter users who made a mockery of the fledgling AOC wannabe.
They allowed kids into a sexually explicit drag show.
In #Florida we protect our kids from #dragshows, #groomers & politicians like @MaxwellFrostFL.

Is he new?

It has taken less than a month for Frost to prove he’s just another opportunistic shill looking to use the people’s seat to grandstand in furtherance of his radical political agenda

DeSantis would eat them for lunch if they called him in front of their committee.

Oh! So, he’s a masochist?!

The 10th congressional district in Florida is a mess. High crime. Not surprised this is who they elected.

Gee. Where I live in FL, we all speak freely. I do wish we could get rid of those few districts of liberals like the Orlando area. They are like festering sores in an otherwise great state.

I think Frost has a man crush on DeSantis..there’s no other reason why a U.S. Congressman would spend the bulk of his time griping about state issues rather than federal.
— New South Politics Editor (@newsoupolitics) February 10, 2023
Dude gonna lose that seat quick.
— Robin Fields (@Boomergirl64) February 8, 2023
Whatever Frost lacks in the understanding of his job, he has chutzpah and it’s probably only a matter of time until he will be invited to join “The Squad” which could more accurately be tabbed the House clueless caucus.
