Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has bigger things to worry about than a war of words with his fellow Republicans.
During a press conference Wednesday in Ocala, Florida, DeSantis dismissed the claims against him that former President Donald Trump had shared on Truth Social.
“I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida and fighting against Joe Biden; that’s how I spend my time,” he remarked to cheers and applause. “I don’t spend my time trying to smear other Republicans.”

DeSantis has repeatedly refused to indulge the media’s desire for him to participate in attacking other Republicans, keeping focus on his mission to create a better life for Floridians.
Trump had previously shared claims that DeSantis engaged in inappropriate conduct with students when he was a high school teacher, including a post that American Wire previously reported as having originated with a left-wing group and disseminated by Meidas Touch.

“The photo shows a person purported to be DeSantis, in a group embrace with several young girls, one of whom is holding what appears to be a glass beer bottle,” reads the claim by Hill Reporter.
While it’s not clear whether the man in the photograph is DeSantis, a Trump supporter still posted it to Truth Social with the caption: “Ron DeSantis was having a ‘drink’ party with his students when he was a high school teacher. Having drinks with underage girls and cuddling with them certainly look pretty gross and ephebophiliaesque.”
Trump would go on to “ReTruth” the claim, only adding “No way?”
