MTG takes no prisoners in Twitter throw down with AOC: ‘You have been a coward’

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is hopping mad.

Literally.

The nation watched the New York Democrat hop up and down and wave her arms from the House floor as her outrage over the removal of Rep. Ilan Omar (D-Minn.) from the Foreign Affairs Committee consumed her, transforming her on Thursday into a well-choreographed Southern Baptist preacher before our very eyes — a tantrum that would ultimately lead to a public smackdown by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who calmly put the hysterical Squad leader in her place.

It’s the kind of verbal catfight that Twitter users live for, and the dueling lawmakers didn’t disappoint.

If there’s one thing we have come to know about AOC, it’s that she just never knows when to quit.

Drunk off the spotlight, she simply can’t help but ratchet up the hyperbole until she humiliates herself.

After her theatrical defense of Omar on the House floor went viral, the Squad’s favorite cheerleader took her scripted fury to CNN, where she discussed how “uncomfortable” she was working alongside terrorists.

“It’s uncomfortable serving with people who engage in what many experts deem ‘stochastic terrorism,’ which is an incitement of violence using digital means and large platforms, so that individual themselves may not be the one that’s wielding a weapon,” she stated.

For the uninitiated, “stochastic terrorism” essentially equates to anyone who says something Ocasio-Cortez disagrees with. In her world, only Democrats can be victims of this kind of assault, and, clearly, it’s exhausting for the young New Yorker.

“I’ve had to ride, as has Representative Omar, have consistently had to ride in 20,000-lb armored vehicles, engaging in some of the most gruesome threats that you can imagine, that were incited by Republican members,” she revealed.

“This isn’t just about a tweet,” she continued. “This is what life looks like, and the marshaling of hundreds of thousands if not millions of people into doing something. And Donald Trump knows that very well, and he uses and used his rallies very strategically in order to engage in political intimidation of what he deems his political enemies.”

Had she stopped there, she may have avoided an online confrontation with a superior opponent.

But, as we said, Ocasio-Cortez never knows when to stop.

With a straight face, she decided to go after a member of Congress who has had her home swatted on multiple occasions by bad political activists who have heard for years from people like AOC that she is a radicalized threat to democracy.

“These individuals that [Speaker] Kevin McCarthy has chosen to appoint to committee–” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “George Santos claimed that his grandparents were in the Holocaust. That was a lie. A disgusting lie. Marjorie Taylor Greene regularly trafficking in antisemitic conspiracy theories… these are individuals, Marjorie Taylor Greene included, inciting violence against specific members in the body.”

It’s a stunning statement, considering she said it in defense of someone too consumed with antisemitism to even know she’s antisemitic.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene, who was engaging in 9/11 conspiracy theories, Kevin McCarthy appointed her to the Homeland Security committee,” she said. “So, there is really no consistency here.”

And with that, Ocasio-Cortez took one insufferable step too far and got herself schooled.

“.@RepAOC I have repeatedly asked you to debate me, but you have been a coward and can’t even respond,” Greene tweeted. “But you go on @CNN and lie about me.”

“When are you going to be an adult and actually debate me on policy instead of run your mouth like a teenage girl?” she demanded to know.

Her high school ego drowning out her Congressional common sense, Ocasio-Cortez shot back, “Hey there! In case you forgot, we sit on the same committee, which debated for the first time this week.”

“I don’t blame you if you forgot. You spent almost no time there,” she retorted. “In the few minutes you did show up, you claimed one elementary school got *$5 billion dollars* to teach CRT.”

It must have sounded great in AOC’s head, but it didn’t work out so well on social media.

“Yeah it’s busy in the majority remember that?” Greene replied, oozing sarcasm.

And then she hit Ocasio-Cortez with a string of questions for which the professional victim had no clever comeback.

“So can you explain why you sickos in NY abused Covid relief funds for things like Drag Queen story time?” Greene asked. “Was it a good time to brainwash kids and lie to them about gender when your state forced them to stay home from school?”

“Can you explain why $100 million dollars in Covid relief went to whatever the hell is ‘tree equity’ is?” she pressed in a second tweet.

“.@RepAOC can you explain to the American taxpayers why your communist state leaders decided to abuse $9 billion in Covid cash for ‘staff development’ on privilege and equity warriors?” Greene asked in the third and final blow.

The choir of crickets from Ocasio-Cortez is deafening.
