Weepy Ron Klain all but confirms Biden 2024 White House run in emotional farewell speech

Outgoing White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain may have let the cat out of the bag during an emotional farewell speech on Wednesday, vowing that he would be at President Joe Biden’s side when he runs for reelection in 2024 like the loyal Democratic Party soldier that he has always been.

On Wednesday, Klain said his goodbyes from the White House with Biden at his side, breaking into tears at several points during his nearly 11-minute address a week after it was formally announced that he was being swapped out with former COVID czar Jeff Zients who has been tabbed to captain the ship as the White House navigates the stormy waters of war, recession and a roiling scandal over classified documents in Biden’s possession.

“I will try to keep this brief, but I cannot promise there will not be some tears,’ Klain said, before almost immediately choking up. ‘This is the best job I’ve ever had. And even though it’s also the hardest job I’ve ever had – I will miss this job, our work, this mission and most of all this team every single day,” said Klain, who started working for Biden back when he was a senator over three decades ago.

“And as I did in 1988, in 2008, in 2020, I look forward to being on your side when you run for president in 2024,” Klain said during the ceremony in the East Room of the White House, as close to an acknowledgment that Biden is determined to finish the job of destroying the country in a second term that would keep him in power until he’s 86-years-old.

“It is especially not bad, for a president and a team that was written off for dead in the winter of 2019 and for dead again in the winter of 2020 and for dead again in the winter of 2021 and for dead again the first week of November 2022,” Klain said of his boss’s remarkable resiliency, rattling off timeframes when political allies and the media have done the heavy lifting to save his bacon.

“The president likes to say that it’s never a good bet to bet against the American people and he is right,’ Klain continued. ‘But what I want to say today is it is never a good bet to bet against Joe Biden and this team, never, ever a good bet,’ Klain added as his voice began to crack.

Klain’s fare-thee-well even tugged on Biden’s heart strings, causing “The Big Guy” to also wipe away a tear during his dutiful lackey’s goodbye address.

Zients, who follows Klain as Biden’s chief of staff, is best known to the American people for his fearmongering to terrorize the vaccine-hesitant into falling in line, warning of a “winter of severe illness and death” for themselves and their families and would overwhelm hospitals if they didn’t get jabbed.

“It’s an honor to be @WHCOS But it is a special, special honor to serve in this position for a President who brings wisdom and goodness, character and boldness to the job. Thank you, @POTUS,” Klain wrote on Twitter after Biden made it official last week.

While Biden has yet to formally announce his reelection bid, Klain’s words serve as a damper on those who had speculated that the classified document scandal would force him to pass the torch to another Democrat with less baggage.
