CNN+ host Rex Chapman takes rant too far, and cops to creepy crush on ‘sexy’ Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi is “sexy personified” as former CNN+ host Rex Chapman unabashedly declared on Twitter.

In reaction to erroneous questions over Paul Pelosi’s sexual orientation, Chapman took to the social media platform to respond. What started as a defense of one Pelosi may have revealed an unhealthy infatuation with the other.

Chapman, an ex-NBA player, was galvanized to his keyboard by a since-deleted tweet from Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk. Musk’s tweet suggested there may be more to the recent attack on Paul Pelosi than meets the eye, and linked to an incredulous source that called the man’s sexuality into question.

Incensed, Chapman began his diatribe aimed at Musk.

“An attempt to maim and maybe murder Nancy Pelosi happened a few days ago. Her husband was attacked w a hammer. Skull fracture. ICU. The new owner of this platform questioned the story. Painted 82-yr old Paul Pelosi as gay. Total bulls***. He deleted. No apology. We may be doomed,” he wrote.

He continued on this thread to ask if it were okay to question Mitch McConnell’s wife’s sexuality – or her race as if that’s somehow relevant – if she were to be attacked.

“I mean what if Mitch McConnell’s wife was attacked? Is it ok to question her sexuality? Or race? Or anything else?” he wrote. He also claimed that if that was indeed what was in vogue, he had some comments on Republicans’ sexual exploits he had been withholding.

But what could have ended there, as a defense of the reputation of Paul Pelosi – the investment wizard with a net worth reportedly over $1o0 million – he chose to push one step further to insist that Pelosi’s wife, Nancy, was evidence enough to prove his orientation.

“Paul Pelosi is a real person. He’s lived 82 remarkable years. Republicans in 2022 have no problem taking your social security so you know they don’t give ONE F*** about trying to ruin your reputation when you’re old,” he continued. “And by the way – being gay shouldn’t ruin anyone’s reputation. I’m ranting,” he added seemingly realizing he was about to step in an entirely different hornet’s nest.

Chapman continued to post photo after photo of the Democrat congresswoman and admitted that he has a “huge crush” on her.

“I love Nancy Pelosi. Full disclosure Like huge crush. Huge. From way back. Beautiful yea. But big brain. Big big brain. Huge confidence. Sexy personified.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson noted “it’s embarrassing even to read this” in a segment where he mocked Chapman for his take that  it’s impossible for Paul Pelosi to be gay because his wife is “a smoke show.”

It’s unclear what Chapman currently does for a living, but since CNN+ unceremoniously shuttered, his Twitter account suggests he might have too much time on his hands. This summer, Chapman, a white man, complained that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas attended a graduation with mostly white students.

In the thread, he called into question Thomas’ ‘blackness’, and stated that the Supreme Court justice “would last 20-30 seconds in an NBA locker room.” The notion of certain characteristics qualifying one’s ‘blackness’ – let alone any race – is a pernicious act of racism – just ask Wayne Brady – and Chapman doubled down, saying that he’d never seen Thomas at a basketball game as if that somehow proved his point.

Chapman concluded his Twitter confessional on Nancy Pelosi by calling her “intimidating”, and declaring, “I love it.” The viral thread has left many thinking that the man doth protest too much.
