It looks like Democrats may be seeing their hopes of victory in Florida slipping away.
A tweet from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ rapid response director Christina Pushaw shows Republicans and Democrats nearly tied in Miami-Dade County.
For reference, in the 2020 presidential election, the same county went to President Joe Biden, who netted 53% of the vote while former President Donald Trump only received 46% of the vote.

While early voting and voting by mail have just begun and America won’t know the official results until after November 8, this is fantastic news for the GOP.
Twitter users detailed their own efforts to make the state red in the replies as others celebrated the numbers:
That’s great. Make sure they vote down the ballot R too. Not sure which congressional district they’re in, but some seats are competitive in Miami-Dade, and of course State Senate / State House are very important in Keeping Florida Free!

I hope so. Nothing is guaranteed. Everyone needs to vote 🙏

We don’t know who anyone voted for yet, but anecdotally, I know a lot of miami residents who are NPA and even Dems voting for @RonDeSantisFL. Still, it’s far from a sure thing and we need everyone to vote to get the big win.

WOW!!! Dems have to run up huge margins in Miami to win state wide. Desantis should pour it in anyway though. Lots of down ballot races will be tight.
