To truly grasp how far left that the country has been dragged by the pernicious operatives who serve the Democratic party, the frequent presence of a man who holds openly communist views on “respectable” Sunday morning television shows is a sad example of the decline of America’s once vibrant and free press.
Once again, CNN trotted out avowed socialist and twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders to assess the party’s hopes of maintaining their stranglehold on political power in D.C. and his take can’t be good news for the proponents of unaccountable, one-party rule.
Comrade Bernie chatted it up with host Jake Tapper on Sunday’s edition of “State of the Union,” where he railed against Republicans, hid behind his socialist credentials to shill for the Democrat war on the middle class and perhaps most importantly, was the bearer of bad news that the younger generation doesn’t appear to be sufficiently motivated to turn out to vote for the party in the midterm elections.

The Vermont senator who claims to be an independent despite being in lockstep with the Democratic party caucus, sounded the alarm that expectations that voters would be more inspired over abortion may have been overly optimistic as polls continue to show that inflation and the economy are the number one concern of Americans, not the extremist agenda of the left, a major blow considering the extent to which the party has pandered to younger people.
“Early voting has started in key states such as Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada. What are you seeing and hearing about energy among democratic voters right now out there?” Tapper asked his guest.
“Well, I am worried about the level of voter turnout among young people and working people who will be voting democratic,” Sanders replied. “I think again what Democrats have to do is contrast their economic plan with the Republicans.”
“What are the Republicans talking about? They want to cut social security, Medicare, and Medicaid at a time when millions of seniors are struggling to pay their bills. Do you think that’s what we should be doing? Democrats should take that to them,” he recommended despite the fact that those problems are of little concern with the younger demographic who are decades away from collecting benefits.
After Bernie’s rant, the spoilsport Tapper said, “To play devil’s advocate here, if I’m a swing voter out there, a young voter, a working class voter, and I hear your message I think, but you guys control everything. Democrats control the house and the Senate and the White House, and inflation is really high and I’m having a tough time making ends meet. Why should I vote for you again?”
Sanders responded, hitting all of the Democrat talking points.
“Well, we have half the votes, exactly half the votes of the Senate and a tiny majority in the house. And I think it’s important that when we talk about inflation Republicans will say well this is Joe Biden’s fault. Really? Our inflation rate is much too high. It is 8%. It is 10% in the U.K.. 10% throughout Europe. 7% in Canada. Inflation is a global problem caused, a, by the breaking of supply chains because of the pandemic, by the war in Ukraine, and as I said, significant part of inflation has to do with corporate greed,” he said, putting the blame on everyone but the real culprits for the crushing burden of the worst inflation in four decades.
“What are the Republicans’ response to inflation? What do they want to do?” He asked, adding some baseless fearmongering about wage decreases. “Maybe they want to cut wages for workers. Do they want to raise the minimum wage? No, they don’t so I think it is important to take the attack to the Republicans. What do they want to do other than complain? But bottom line is, you cannot cut social security, Medicare, and Medicaid, which is what they want to do. We have to lower prescription drug costs, which is not what they want to do.”
Tapper then played a clip of Biden and whether a recession is on the horizon after the regime had previously redefined the classical meaning of the economic term,
“Do you think the U.S. is headed for recession and is there anything that can be done to stop it?” Tapper asked.
“Well I think what we certainly don’t want to see is a Fed raising interest rates right now, which would result in more unemployment and lower wages,” Bernie said as he ducked the question. “Here is the reality. You ask, Jake, why people are upset. Why young people are upset. Working class people are upset. The answer is pretty simple. For the last 50 years in this country real wages are, have not gone up. That’s the reason to be upset. Meanwhile you got three people on top who own more wealth than the bottom half of American society.”
Sanders continued to duck giving an answer, “Working people all over this country are saying we are sick and tired of seeing all of the wealth, all of the income going to the people on top. Help us out. Why are we the only country on earth not to guarantee health care to all people? Why do we pay the highest prices for prescription drugs? Why do we have a minimum wage today, Republicans don’t want to raise it, $7.25 an hour. That is a starvation wage. Why do kids leave school deeply in debt?”
“We need an aggressive government that says we’re on your side not on the side of the billionaires,” Sanders added, a modified version of his war cry about ‘millionaires and billionaires’ that had to be changed due to the inconvenient truth that he himself is a millionaire.
Tapper persisted, “But do you think a recession is coming?”
Sanders again refused to give a direct answer, “Hard to say. I think if we do the right things we can protect the working class of this country.”
Bernie could have been a contender in 2016 without the meddling of Hillary Clinton’s DNC cronies but squandered a good chunk of his political capital when he lined up behind her and puckered up at the party’s convention, then for good measure, he rolled over to Biden without so much as a whimper in 2020, as a result, the pied piper no longer has the sway over his flock that he once did.
