Dem strategists cracks the code on Latinos switching to the GOP: ‘They don’t like socialists’

Democratic strategists are ringing alarm bells, reporting a massive shift by conservative Latinos from the Democratic Party to the GOP over far-left socialistic policies, crimes, inflation, immorality, abortion, and other issues.

Those strategists spoke to Fox News telling them what they see among single-issue Latinos and it spells very bad news for the left, especially just before the midterm elections.

NBC News, Telemundo, and the Wall Street Journal conducted previous polling that shows 49 percent of self-described conservative Latinos preferred Democrats to control Congress, which is 9 points more than Republicans. By stark contrast, in September 2022, 73 percent of conservative Latinos voiced support for Republicans in Congress as opposed to 17 percent who prefer Democrats according to Fox News. That’s a whopping 56-point GOP advantage and, if accurate, foreshadows the death knell for leftists on the political scene.

They don’t like the socialists,” Hank Sheinkopf, who is a veteran Democratic political consultant and president of Sheinkopf Communications, told Fox News Digital concerning conservative Latinos. “They don’t like the abortion argument being thrust at them on a constant basis. They don’t like the crime. They don’t like the chaos. And they’re responding.”

He didn’t stop there stating that Democrats “always” do worse than they think they are going to when “chaos” is prevalent and warned that Democrats are “failing to understand” that abortion is not the “end-all-be-all.”

“Crime and chaos take over, and the economy,” Sheinkopf asserted. “So now you’re having a nationwide uptick in crime. Homicides are up. Who pays the price for circumstances like that? The party in power.”

Sheinkopf isn’t a lone voice on this either. Democratic strategist Jennifer Holdsworth told Fox News that the poll is a “bit of an outlier” but admitted that Democrats should focus on issues besides immigration when speaking to the Latino community.

“I think that there’s been a lot of movement by the Hispanic community away from being single-issue voters. It’s not just about immigration. They’re a community of faith. There’s a lot of small businesses. It’s healthcare and housing prices. Ironically, it’s about a lot of issues that Democrats are very strong on. But if we singularly message to the Latino and Hispanic community about immigration, we’re doing ourselves a disservice in talking to those voters,” she remarked.

Democratic strategist and former deputy national press secretary for the Democratic Party, Jose Aristimuño, told Fox News Digital that Democrats “need to do a better job at all levels in making sure that we message to Latinos on the things that they care about.”

“Latinos very much care about the same things that the rest of America cares about,” he pointed out. “They care about the economy, they care about healthcare, they care about education, obviously crime and things like that.”

He claimed that the “hard left” in the Democratic Party, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a proclaimed Democratic Socialist, has driven away moderate Latino voters and said the far-left faction of the party has been “damaging.”

Latino voters are not flocking to Democrats this time around during the election cycle as they have before. Republicans have gained significant ground with the Latino community according to NBC News and Telemundo.

While 51 percent of Latino voters say they approve of Biden’s overall job performance, only 42 percent approve of how he’s handled the border and a meager 41 percent approve of his job performance concerning the economy.

Even radical leftist MSNBC Al Sharpton is alarmed. He warned that Democrats are not “connecting” to black and Latino voters.

“The Democratic Party and President Biden does have some things they could be using that they’ve done that has benefited clearly blacks and Latinos, but it’s not connecting,” Sharpton claimed. “So you’re seeing this as the polls indicate, Latinos and black men go the other way, because they’re not getting their message to the ground in the way they should.”
