‘They are scared!’ Desperate Dem accused of doctoring Latina GOP rep’s photo to make her look evil

Devious and desperate Democrats seem to be trying to make U.S. Rep. Mayra Flores (R-Tex.) look bad with “pathetic photoshopping,” but it probably isn’t going to work against the America First star.

In a campaign attack ad, Flores’ Democrat rival Vicente Gonzalez tried to smear her in connection with the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022.

On that bill, 193 Republicans in the House voted no.

Rep. Flores was the winner of a June special election that flipped a longtime south Texas blue seat to red, and she is seeking to retain her incumbency in the upcoming midterm voting against Gonzalez, who is switching districts.

“The ad uses an edited picture of Flores that was originally posted to her Instagram in early 2022. The edited picture includes an ominous green-ish filter and appears to have been edited to give Flores’ eyebrows a tilted, more aggressive look,” the Daily Mail explained.

“Flores told Fox News Digital in a statement that she believes voters in her district will not fall for the ‘scare tactics,’ Fox News reported.

“First, Vicente Gonzalez hired a racist blogger to attack me for my heritage. Now Vicente is doing the dirty work himself with this shameless and pathetic photoshopping. The people in the [Rio Grande Valley] are smarter than this and will see right through Vicente’s scare tactics and constant lies,” she added.

According to the Daily Mail, Flores’ no vote on the legislation was “largely due to the red flag laws that the bill implements, which allow state officials to determine if an individual is fit for gun ownership.”

“Last month, Flores introduced the Reduce Gun Violence Act, which the campaign says is a ‘comprehensive funding package of more than $11 billion dollars to schools across the country to increase physical security and access mental health resources,'” FNC noted.

“At the time, Gonzalez made no mention that the photo of Flores used in his campaign’s ad was edited. Fox News Digital reached out to the Gonzalez campaign about the edited photo used in the ad, but did not receive an immediate response,” the news outlet asserted on Wednesday.

Apart from left-wing partisans, many on social media have called out Gonzalez for the sketchy, doctored image. Here is just a sample:
