Actor Dean Cain clapped back at leftist critics on Twitter who viciously attacked him after he asserted that it was ridiculous that he was required to wear a face mask in a flight to and from Canada.
“Found it utterly ridiculous that I had to wear a mask on the plane – flying to/from Canada,” the “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” star tweeted, stirring up a hornet’s nest of leftist pandemic lovers. He was wearing a face mask in the tweet sent out on Tuesday.
As Cain was excoriated on social media, he took it in stride, tweeting, “Rolling with laughter at the responses to this tweet.”
Having little tolerance for political correctness and general stupidity, Cain allegedly blocked dozens of Twitter trolls for mocking him.

Hours later, according to The Independent, Cain tweeted that he had blocked more than 100 accounts and wrote, “Whew! Must have blocked over 100 twitter bots today with a grand total of 246 followers!”

“If only you thought about others,” one arrogant person tweeted in response to Cain’s stance on being forced to wear a mask, especially when the mandate was slated to be nixed in four days.
“If only you thought for yourself,” the actor responded.

“So cloth masks are your kryptonite? I didn’t think you are that weak,” another troll wrote to Cain, referring to his role as Superman.
“I couldn’t imagine you’d be so stupid,” Cain hit back.

“You should be wearing a mask even without a pandemic,” someone else wrote.
“Pot meet kettle,” Cain tweeted.

“Maybe you shouldn’t be flying to Canada then. Their country, their choice. Why do you hate people making choices for themselves so very much, Dean?” another detractor wrote.
“‘Hate’ is your word. I said ‘ridiculous.’ Also, the mandate expires in 4 days, because ‘science,'” Cain astutely told the person. “See my point now? #lemming.”

“Thanks for keeping the other passengers a little safer, even if you were forced to. Heroes are not born, or caring, or socially-minded, or even all that smart, but federally mandated into service, apparently,” yet another troll contended via Twitter.
“How did I keep them safer, exactly?” Cain asked knowing there would be no rational response.

“Thank you for keeping the immunocompromise people safe it is such a small inconvenience that one does on the behalf of our fellow humans,” someone else contended.
Cain reiterated, “Well the science changes in 4 days, so…”

The actor has previously attacked COVID mandates in the US, including in July this year when he said, “Covid-19 vaccine mandates are insane.” He has also conservatively defended the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade and said it should be left to states to decide the issue.

The Canadian government will drop its mask mandate for flying on Oct. 1. But the Public Health Agency of Canada asserted that “all travelers are strongly recommended to wear high quality and well-fitted masks during their journeys.”
