Debbie Collier and family reportedly received chilling threat before her violent death: ‘I will hurt them’

There are far more questions than answers concerning the brutal murder of 59-year-old Georgia mom Debbie Collier as a chilling note has surfaced from her daughter’s boyfriend who allegedly threatened to hurt the family last year.

Amateur MMA fighter Andrew Giegerich was arrested in August for violating parole. He is the boyfriend of Amanda Bearden, who is the daughter of Debbie Collier.

“If you or your family ever come near me again I will hurt them,” Giegerich allegedly wrote to Amanda Bearden in a disturbing note that was obtained by the New York Post.

The message was scrawled in green marker on a notepad. It was included in police evidence photos following a May 2021 domestic dispute between Bearden and Giegerich, who was living in a home that is owned by her stepfather, Debbie Collier’s husband Steve.

“Have a nice life you lying ass b*tch. Don’t ever contact me again!!!” Giegerich ostensibly wrote threatening the daughter.

Bearden asserts that her boyfriend broke into her home, then screamed at her before attacking her according to police documents. She showed police bruising on her shoulders and arms she claims Giegerich is responsible for.

“In her living room, Bearden showed me a handwritten note left on a notebook. She advised Giegerich wrote this before he left,” a police report contends. The boyfriend was arrested and charged with a number of things including battery after the incident.

“Andrew Giegerich did intentionally cause visible bodily harm to Amanda Bearden, to wit: she had visible bruising to the right arm and shoulder,” a May 2021 arrest warrant stated concerning Giegerich.

He was ordered to stay away from Bearden. She was also arrested and charged at the same time for making a false police report claiming that Giegerich had broken into their home when they actually lived together.

Bearden is evidently well-known to her hometown police department and has a rap sheet that goes back more than a decade for numerous domestic violence calls, involving different men with whom she has been romantically involved, according to Fox News.

“The violence between Bearden and the boyfriend was pretty constant over the entire time they have dated, spanning a couple of years,” Bearden’s stepfather said in a police report.

Even though Giegerich was ordered to stay away from Bearden, they lived together in the same house. The couple claimed that they had moved back from Maryland two days before Collier disappeared.

“They’ve interrogated all of us. The people who are closest to [Debbie] are kind of looked at as suspects right now,” the boyfriend told the New York Post and stated that police seized his and Bearden’s phones after Collier’s body was found.

Neither Bearden nor Giegerich has been named as suspects or persons of interest in Collier’s death.

Bearden was the one who reported her mother missing after receiving a Venmo payment from her on Sept 10. Collier wired her daughter $2,385 with a note that purportedly said “They are not going to let me go. Love you.”

Collier was found naked, partially burned, and dead in a ravine approximately 60 miles north of her Athens, GA home on Sept. 11. Police found her rented Chrysler Pacifica abandoned.

Local authorities searched the area with a K-9 and found Collier dead at the bottom of an embankment, stripped naked with “charring” on her abdomen. They found her on her back, tragically clutching at a small tree with her right hand. There is no information on whether she was sexually assaulted or not.

Bearden and Giegerich claim they last saw her mother at lunch the day before.

Georgia authorities served a search warrant at the home of Collier’s daughter days after finding her burned body. It was one of several warrants served in connection with the investigation, but there are few details that have been revealed by authorities according to Fox News.

Police have categorized Collier’s death as a homicide and have ruled out both kidnapping and suicide.
