Keith Olbermann loses it over Don Lemon’s ‘demotion’, goes personal to slam ex-colleague Chris Licht

The never tactful, always manic, overwhelmingly annoying Keith Olbermann crawled out from under his Twitter rock on Thursday to talk trash about his former MSNBC colleague — and CNN’s fearless new leader — Chris Licht, and host Don Lemon, who just received the news that he’s been unceremoniously kicked out of primetime and booted to a new morning slot.

Like many on the left, Olbermann clearly sees CNN’s recent shift to more balanced journalism as proof that Licht, who runs an entire network while Olbermann hits record on his latest podcast rant, is a “fascist.”

As American Wire News reported, CNN announced on Thursday that “Don Lemon Tonight” has joined Brian Stelter’s “Reliable Sources” in the “canceled” bin, and host Don Lemon will be joining Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins on a new morning show that will replace the network’s “New Day.”

To hear Lemon tell it, no sane person would want their own primetime show when they could share a cup of coffee with two co-hosts and a bunch of early risers.

“I was honestly floored when Chris Licht asked me to do this, and I’m honored by his belief in me,” Lemon said in a statement. “It’s going to be a thrill to take on this challenge with Poppy and Kaitlan. I’ll get to work with two of my dearest friends.”

“Set your alarms folks, because we’re going to have a lot of fun,” he gushed.

But according to Olbermann, the move is a mistake made by a guy who “used to eat paste.”

“Chris Licht (who, when we worked together at msnbc, I believed used to eat paste) has now surrounded Don Lemon with an ex-Daily Caller ‘journalist’ and somebody who last month demanded an apology from Biden to Republicans,” he tweeted. “The @CNN sh*tstorm is here.”

That CNN’s “New Day” host Brianna Keilar found President Biden’s “unity” speech in which he stood, flanked by Marines, and demonized half the nation was not valid criticism from her, but a failed “cut-and-paste” attempt at ingratiating herself with her new boss with a “conservative talking point.”

“(And @brikeilarcnn’s cut-and-pasted complaint about Biden’s marines, and doubling and tripling down on this pathetic and hypocritical conservative talking point, did not save her. You can never be sufficiently doctrinaire for TV Fascists like Licht and John Malone),” he stated.

While Olbermann may have believed his observations were keen, he quickly learned that Twitter’s dislike of him is greater than its dislike of either Chris Licht or the insufferable Don Lemon.

“You should know quite a bit about sh*tstorms sweetie,” noted one user.

“When he is fired from CNN, you and Lemon could do a podcast together,” suggested another.

“I used to like you Keith O,” replied a third. “Then you went off on the Deep End! Sad!”
