Speaker Nancy Pelosi clearly sees abortion as such a key motivating issue to her party’s base who would ignore their own personal economic suffering in order to exact revenge for the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade and she is making the contentious topic a centerpiece of the party’s bid to extend their period of one-party rule.
The self-professed “devout Catholic” fired up the loyalists in advance of the critical November midterm elections by mocking Republicans for their defense of life, drawing approval from the fawning media during her weekly press conference.
When asked about Senator Lindsey Graham’s surprise announcement of a bill that would ban most abortions at the federal level after 15 weeks, a strangely timed gift to Dems, and the reaction of some Republicans who disagreed with the wisdom of the South Carolina Republican’s curious declaration, Pelosi turned to insults.
“On abortion, Senator Graham introduced the 15-week national ban,” the reporter inquired. “What does it tell you that the reaction from at least most of the Republican senators has been muted or just to say that this should be a state’s issue?”

“Well, it should… If you’ve seen the side by sides, the split screens on TV this morning, you see in August, Senator Graham saying that this should be a state issue buh-buh-buh-boom. Everybody saying this should be a state issue,” she said. “And then probably at the insistence of the MAGA grassroots coming out and saying there should be a federal ban.”
“You’d have to ask the Republicans as to why they poured cold water on it, but they know they are digging a hole and they just keep digging it,” Pelosi remarked on the reaction of Republican lawmakers to Graham’s going rogue.
“I was telling my members this morning about when I was in school a long time ago, that there was a story short story called The Revolt of Mother and Mother revolted about certain things that were expected of her. Again, this is a revolt of mother and others as well. Women are not happy about this,” she added.
“But I think what you’re seeing there is a conflict within the Republican Party. There are those in the party that think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before,” Pelosi said with her snarky line that was a crowd pleaser.
Graham’s unexpected support of a proposed federal abortion ban energized Democrats, many of whom saw it as a game changer with less than two months to go before the most important off-year elections in the nation’s history and the last chance to cut the legs out from under the extreme transformational agenda of Pelosi and her fully radicalized party.

Few Democrats have been as consistently outspoken as Pelosi when it comes to the full-throated advocacy against the rights of those who have yet to be born, a stance that has put her at odds with the Catholic Church.
An arrogant narcissist who respects nothing but her own power, Pelosi recently engaged in an ugly public feud with the archbishop of San Francisco who denied her Holy Communion, taking it upon herself to lecture the Catholic Church about the Bible.

Whether abortion will be the deciding factor in whether Pelosi’s Democrats are able to keep control of Congress has yet to be seen but there should be no doubt that defending baby killing is the hill that they are prepared to die upon.
