The fall season is here and along with it, the resumption of the J6 committee hearings which are set to kick off this week and its members are hitting the media circuit, one of them being Rep. Jamie Raskin who is obsessed with ending the Electoral College as it has existed.

The Maryland Democrat appeared on Friday’s edition of “All In With Chris Hayes” where he discussed the FBI’s storming of Mar-a-Lago during the committee’s break with the prissy MSNBC host and perhaps tipped his hand at what could be coming for voters who don’t reside in the densely populated, deep blue coastal enclaves of the cultural and political elite.
A former constitutional law professor, Raskin gets plenty of face time with the media as he seeks to dismantle the nation’s foundation as it was envisioned by the Founding Fathers and rebuild it to suit the needs of his party, particularly when it comes to holding power in perpetuity and doing away with or dramatically overhauling the Electoral College has been a top objective of today’s Democrat extremists.
“We have to look at the way that the electoral system itself is vulnerable to strategic bad faith actors like Donald Trump,” he told Hayes. “The Electoral College is an accident waiting to happen and we have to deal with that at some point in American history.”
“Why not now?” Raskin asked.
Democrats love to pontificate about “democracy” a word which they have redefined to cloak their own radical agenda, but nothing would be more undemocratic than blowing up the Electoral College which ensures that Americans who do not live in California, New York and Chicago can still have influence over the government through their votes, an idea that is antithetical to Raskin and his party’s version of “democracy” and must be stamped out.
The desire of the veteran of the failed impeachment of former President Donald J. Trump to use the J6 committee as a vehicle for dismantling the Electoral College isn’t exactly a closely-held secret, he reportedly clashed with Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s hand-picked attack dog Liz Cheney, the Trump-hating neocon RINO, on using the hearings to make a case for abolishing the institution.

“My very first bill I introduced as a state senator in Maryland was for the national popular vote interstate compact, so again, I speak only for myself here and, you know, totally apart from all of this, I’ve taken a position that the Electoral College is an undemocratic relic of the early Constitution,” Raskin said in a Washington Post interview from early this summer, “just like the state legislature selection of U.S. senators, which is something we got rid of, in 1913, with the 17th Amendment, just like the exclusion of women from voting, which we got rid of in 1920 with the 19th Amendment.”
“You know, we didn’t start out with Lincoln’s beautiful vision of government of the people, by the people and for the people, we started out as a slave republic of white male property owners,” he claimed, repeating the Big Lie that America, as it exists today, is a white supremacist nation that was built upon the bones of black people, a false narrative that is essential to the modern version of the Democratic Party.
“We do still have what I think we have some obsolescent political institutions in the country and certainly some obsolescent political practices. Those are things I think we need to address whether it’s in this context or another context,” Raskin said.
A committed ideologue, Raskin is determined to cancel the votes of American citizens who live in the “flyover states,” a term derisively used by the elite to mock the majority of the country.
President Joe Biden just put the tens of millions of Americans who do not bow to his authoritarian rule on notice that they are effectively enemies of his government, coming very close to designating them as subhuman and Raskin would have them stripped of the power of their vote in a country that is now ruled by fascists who have no intention of relinquishing their power through elections.
