U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was the victim of a second consecutive “swatting” in a malicious act that endangered the lives of the congresswoman and her family after a vindictive leftist put in a false call to law enforcement, an increasingly common practice of dangerously targeting political enemies.
Early Thursday morning, police responded to a fake 911 emergency report from someone threatening to kill his family and himself, the caller who gave the name “Wayne Greene” provided her home address to a suicide crisis center during a social media interaction, reportedly saying that he had recently come out as a transgender and was ready to commit acts of extreme violence.
“The person who made the call through the chat advised that they ‘came out as trans-gender and claimed they shot the family,'” according to a police report. “They also claimed, ‘If anyone tried to stop me from shooting myself, I will shoot them.’ They advised ‘they would be waiting for us.'”
Officers who responded to the call at around 3 am met the conservative Christian lawmaker at the front door, explaining that they had “confirmed this was a second false report,” the Rome Police Department said in a statement.
Police were unable to determine the location of the false report to the suicide chatline “due to the person(s) using a VPN,” according to the police report.
Greene took to Twitter to announce that she had been targeted on consecutive nights.
“Swatted again last night,” she wrote.

She also appeared on Thursday’s edition of “War Room” with Steve Bannon, where she discussed the left’s increasingly brazen attempts to have her taken off of the playing field by any means necessary.
“Is the left trying to have you assassinated ma’am?” Bannon asked.
“Yes, they are trying to have me murdered, they are trying to get me killed and sometimes they’re trying to kill me themselves with their own death threats and they’re being arrested for trying to do that,” Greene responded.

“Steve, last night I was swatted for a second time, a second time,” she said. “Two nights in a row it’s happened to me but I just want to give massive credit, a shout out to the Rome police here, they are not stupid even though the people over at Media Matters probably thinks they are but they are not stupid, they are fantastic and they are on to what is happening.”
“But it’s very dangerous,” she added. “It’s very dangerous Steve because we haven’t found this person, or it may be a group of people but whoever it is and whatever they are, their ideology is sick and disgusting.”
“Their ideology is part of this whole movement to cause children, children, to undergo the most horrific surgeries, to undergo, take the awful medications, hormones, puberty blockers to transform their bodies, mutilate their own bodies before they’re even 18-years-old, before they can vote, before they can join the military, before they can take out a student loan….” she said.
The first “swatting” incident occurred around 1 am on Wednesday morning when police responded to a call claiming that a subject was “shot multiple times,” soon discovering that it was the home of Greene who “assured the officers there was no issue and the call was determined to be a false call commonly known as ‘swatting’,” according to a media statement from the Rome Police Department.

“Rome/Floyd 911 received a second call from the suspect who was using a computer generated voice stating that he/she was upset about Mrs. Greene’s political view on transgender youth rights,” the statement read. “The Rome Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is working in conjunction with the United States Capital Police on this investigation.”
