Hannity says ‘lying loser’ John Fetterman ‘may be hearing’ from his lawyers over fundraising tactics

Sean Hannity’s abundant support for Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz has evidently drawn the ire of Democrat opponent Lt. Gov. John Fetterman’s campaign, and with fundraising tactics maligning the Fox News host’s reputation, threats of lawsuits have been leveled against the “lying loser.”

Tuesday on his program “Hannity” the host once again laid into Fetterman’s background as a “trust fund brat” living off of his parents’ wealth as he suggested the politician was something of a coward for not appearing on his broadcast.

“As of now, the Fetterman campaign is refusing to debate Doctor Oz, also refusing my invitation to appear on this program,” Hannity said.

While the candidate is under no obligation to speak with the Fox News host, Hannity contended that he ought to because “he and his campaign have been lying about me, raising money off of my name–he apparently sent yet another fundraising text today, attacking me, lying about me, calling me a liar.”

“Every day he lies about me,” Hannity declared, “I’ll continue to tell the truth about his radical, extreme positions way out of touch with the hard-working people of Pennsylvania.”

“By the way, my trust fund brat friend, when you attack me, I will attack you back 10 to 100 times harder because you’re a lying loser and raising money for your losing campaign,” he continued. “He may be hearing from my lawyers very shortly. He better hope that mommy and daddy have enough money to pay his legal bills.”

On Monday, Hannity reported that Fetterman’s campaign had sent out fundraising text messages accusing the Fox News host of lying before asking supporters to “Please chip in at least 25 bucks, 50 bucks, 100 bucks, because, quote, ‘We got to counter Sean Hannity with as much grassroots support as possible.'”

“We don’t lie on the show,” the host had said. “Instead of accusing me of lying, which we didn’t do, John needs to quit his whining, stop his crying, man up, put on his hoodie, defend his radical opinions.”

This isn’t Hannity’s first scuffle with threats of legal retaliation. In fact, in 2019 the former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch had claimed that he had orchestrated a smear campaign against her.

“I’ll say it again: people better stop lying about me, because I’m not going to take it! And I do promise you I will hire the absolute best lawyers in the country and I’ll spend the money–whatever it takes,” he said at the time.” Stop spreading bogus rumors and smears about me. Just tell the truth. For the love of God and country, stop the hearsay, stop the conjecture!”

She had been removed from her position in May of that year and Hannity had stated, “[S]he’s the one that suggest that yours truly somehow played a role in her dismissal. I will remind her that is a lie and a complete fabrication.”

As for the Senate race in Pennsylvania, polls have shown Fetterman to be holding a lead over Oz as much as double digits according to FiveThirtyEight and, in the case of the Trafalgar Group, with a spread that could be nearly made up by undecided voters.
