Trump assumes J6 committee’s ‘DISSOLUTION’ after Cheney beatdown, but Pence teases he’ll testify

Former President Donald J. Trump suggested that the January 6 select committee should be dissolved after vice-chair Liz Cheney was shellacked in Tuesday’s Wyoming primary, an idea that would deprive his ex-veep of an opportunity to draw attention to himself by testifying, something Mike Pence hinted was a possibility.

Trump, who has been subjected to being tried in absentia by the one-sided kangaroo court staffed by members who were hand-picked by Speaker Nancy Pelosi with Cheney in a starring role to present the false appearance that it is a bipartisan committee, took great pleasure in the humiliating loss of his top Republican nemesis.

“I assume that with the very big Liz Cheney loss, far bigger than had ever been anticipated, the January 6th Committee of political Hacks and Thugs will quickly begin the beautiful process of DISSOLUTION? This was a referendum on the never ending Witch Hunt. The people have spoken!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Cheney’s nearly 40-point loss to her Trump-endorsed opponent, attorney Harriet Hageman renders her a lame duck and a suddenly less effective attack dog for Pelosi’s Soviet-style tribunal which has already struggled to get the attention of Americans. And the possibility that Pence could be trotted out in prime time as the star witness after the fall season debut could be irresistible to Democrats and the anti-Trump GOP establishment.

In remarks during his appearance at a “Politics and Eggs” event at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire on Wednesday, Pence responded to a question on whether he would consider singing for the committee.

“If there was an invitation to participate, I would consider it,” Pence said.

“But, you heard me mention the Constitution a few times this morning. Under the Constitution, we have three co-equal branches of government, and any invitation to be directed to me, I would have to reflect on the unique role I was serving in as vice president,” he added. “It would be unprecedented in history for a vice president to be summoned to testify on Capitol Hill. But, as I said, I don’t want to pre-judge, so if there’s ever any formal invitation rendered to us, we would give it due consideration.”

Pence also defended the FBI against Republican critics of the unprecedented storming of former President Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence last week, a bold move by the Biden regime to take the top opposition leader off the board at a time when he was campaigning on behalf of America First candidates in the midterm elections and well in advance of 2024.

“These attacks on the FBI must stop,” he said. “Calls to defund the FBI are just as wrong as calls to defund the police.”

Pence, who many believe will launch a 2024 White House bid of his own, made his remarks hours after J6 select committee vice-chair Liz Cheney was soundly defeated in the Wyoming primary, ending her congressional career as voters rendered their verdict on her malicious vendetta against Trump and her collaboration with Pelosi and the Democrats.

While testimony by Pence would be a huge boost for the committee’s lackluster ratings, by doing so he would only further alienate the same sort of Republican voters who just delivered the epic beatdown to Cheney, rendering any presidential aspirations that he may be harboring dead on arrival.
