Scathing new ad shames AG Merrick Garland for not protecting SCOTUS justices, ‘cowering to the woke mob’

A judicial watchdog group is calling out Attorney General Merrick Garland for not doing enough to protect the safety of conservative Supreme Court justices who have had bullseyes put on their backs by Democrats and their left-wing extremist shock troops over the overturning of abortion rights cornerstone Roe v. Wade.

On Thursday, the day when the nation’s top law enforcement official fessed up that it was he who “personally authorized” the search warrant that led to heavily-armed FBI agents storming the Mar-a-Lago residence of former President Donald J. Trump, the Judicial Crisis Network (JCN) debuted a new ad as a part of its $10 million campaign against Democrats for fueling the fire against the high court judges.

In addition to the mounting pressure over the invasion of Trump and his family’s home, Garland continues to take fire over his lack of enthusiasm for protecting the safety of the conservative justices who have been subjected to angry mobs protesting in their neighborhoods and, in the case of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a failed assassination attempt after a deranged leftist who was egged on by irresponsible rhetoric from Democrats and the media traveled to his Chevy Chase, Md., home to kill him, before he got cold feet.

The JCN ad, which is entitled “Twelve Years,” shamed Garland for the DOJ’s inaction in cracking down on potentially violent left-wing miscreants, a conglomeration of misfits that, unlike Trump supporters, doesn’t merit the focus of the Justice Department and its ultra-partisan leader.

“Two people worked together for twelve years, colleagues, friends,” the ad begins with silhouettes of Garland and Kavanaugh on the screen. “Now one is being harassed, threatened, even an armed assassin was after him.”

“The other could stop it but doesn’t,” the ad states. “Merrick Garland and Brett Kavanaugh,”

“Merrick Garland is the attorney general, he should uphold the rule of law, protect his former colleagues and the court, instead, he’s cowering to the woke mob,” the half-minute message says, “Merrick Garland, bad for the court then, bad for the court now.”

Garland has come up lacking when it comes to protecting the Republican-appointed justices who have been on leftist hit lists ever since the leaking of a draft memo on the overturning of Roe v. Wade, a criminal act that the DOJ has yet to act in a manner as strongly as it did against President Joe Biden’s top political adversary.

According to JCN, “Today, 101 days after the leak of the draft Dobbs opinion that fueled continuing threats against and unlawful protests at the homes of six Supreme Court justices, JCN launched a new $1 million ad buy condemning Attorney General Merrick Garland for refusing to uphold a federal law that makes it illegal to picket at the residence of a judge in an attempt to influence them. The ad, ‘Twelve Years,’ exposes Garland for turning on his longtime former colleague and friend, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and his surrender to the woke mob for the sake of politics.”

“’Twelve Years’ will air on cable and digitally in the Washington, D.C. market and is part of what will be an overall $10 million total campaign – the amount JCN has spent on several recent Supreme Court confirmation battles – that will expose how Democrats are endangering the lives of Supreme Court justices. JCN will engage a comprehensive campaign of paid advertising, earned media, research, grassroots activity, and a coalition enterprise,” the group wrote on its website.

“Merrick Garland has consistently bowed to the radical left’s agenda, whether it’s calling concerned parents ‘domestic terrorists’ or suing states for protecting the unborn. What the Attorney General is clearly ‘not’ doing is enforcing a federal law designed to protect judges at their homes, as mobs of protestors continue to harass six of the Court’s justices at their homes, even after the attempted assassination of Brett Kavanaugh,” said JCN President Carrie Severino.
