Chris Christie calls out Biden water carrier Stephanopoulos over ‘tale of two economies’ BS

ABC political commentator Chris Christie tripped up his network colleague George Stephanopoulos as the longtime Democratic Party shill was doing a happy dance over the economic miracle that the media has trumpeted ever since the Biden regime was successful in changing the definition of what a recession means.

Stephanopoulos, who cut his teeth as a spinmeister back when he served as Bill Clinton’s White House communications director clashed with Christie, the former governor of New Jersey and failed GOP presidential candidate on Sunday morning’s edition of “This Week” when the two disagreed over an economy that in a span of two short weeks has gone from an unmitigated disaster to one of Biden’s top accomplishments, according to the corrupt and biased media.

The host’s fellow media lickspittle, Jonathan Karl, set the table for Christie when he gushed over the shift of narrative that has occurred since the COVID-stricken Biden has been locked down in the controlled environment of the White House while the media does the heavy lifting, citing last week’s better-than-expected jobs report, the announcement that al Qaeda 9/11 terrorist Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in Afghanistan and the passage of the Democrats’ climate change package, oozing joy over the president’s resurrection from the political dead.

But Christie wasn’t buying it, insisting that Americans are still far worse under Biden than they were before he took office.

“George, you know, when you’re arguing with people in a 9 percent inflation world that they shouldn’t be feeling pain, that the economy is actually good, that’s just a losing argument and they know it,” Christie said. “The American people feel it. They know it. And in the end what we see…”

Stephanopoulos responded, “But it is a tale of two economies. You’re right, the inflation rate is incredibly high, but look at those jobs numbers on Friday.”

“Well, but people can’t keep up with the costs of living their lives. So they say OK, great, I’ve got a job, that’s a good thing. But to get to that job, I’ve got to fill my car with gas, and it costs that much more. Then when I’m on my way home from work, I’ve got to go to the supermarket and I get absolutely tanked there from a dollar perspective,” Christie said.

“And then I look at what’s going on with my kids, if I’m sending them to school, are they going to college? All those expenses are going way, way up. And people say, yes, I have a job, but my life is worse now than it was two years ago,” he continued. “And we know from Ronald Reagan that that’s an incredibly powerful question: Am I better off now than I was two years ago? And the American people don’t feel it. And that’s why Joe Biden is in the 30s.”

“He’s on a roll,” Karl exclaimed, siding with Stephanopoulos. “There’s no question that Joe Biden is on a roll legislatively, on the national security front. But he’s getting no credit for it. And, look, inflation is still a factor. Gas prices are actually coming down, and have been coming down for almost two months. The unemployment numbers are remarkable — not only the unemployment numbers, but wage growth continues to rise. It’s just not keeping pace with inflation.”

“It’s an inside Washington roll, George,” Christie noted, adding that “They got Democrats to actually vote for a Democrat bill. What are we going to do? Drop the confetti at the White House?! This is ridiculous. … The people in the rest of the country are saying, ‘Wait a second! I’m still paying much more for gas than I should. I’m still paying much more to cool my house. I can’t get groceries on the table. And I’m worried about my future.’”
