Aaron Rodgers PEEVED over vaccine joke about ‘how many grandmothers’ he killed: ‘I don’t find that funny’

NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers remained one of the rare exceptions in the public eye who pushed for common sense over propaganda throughout the COVID pandemic and when face-to-face recently with an apparent panic porn peddler, one look was all he needed to shut down the argument.

Warning: Language

The Green Bay Packers star joined Dan “Big Cat” Katz and Eric Sollenberger on Monday’s edition of Barstool Sports “Pardon My Take” podcast where the hosts briefly turned from football to touch on one of the bigger stories of Rodgers 2021-2022 season. Delving into his contraction of COVID after previously having to walk back his carefully worded claim of being “immunized” against the virus, Sollenberger asked, “How would you describe yourself?”

“I just–I think in general, I’d like to present myself how I see myself. So unapologetically authentic, you know? And you, I mean, you like me or don’t like me, that’s not my concern at this point,” he began before addressing the hot topic. “You know, my concern is just speaking the truth and you know, people say, ‘Oh, immunization, vaccination!'”

“Yeah, I did. I said that a lot,” Katz quickly chimed in before his cohost asked, “How many people do you think you killed? What’s your count?”

Sollenberger looked more to be making light of Rodgers’ open refusal to take any of the authorized shots for COVID on account of an allergy, but Katz remained deadpan as he asked, “How many grandmothers? Let’s just do grandmothers.”

“I mean, I know you guys are f*cking around but I don’t find that part funny. I really don’t,” Rodgers replied in all seriousness as the quarterback stared down the host who visibly began to squirm in his chair before suggesting he hadn’t seen that reaction coming while making a reference to professional wrestler John Cena.

“Oh sh*t,” Katz said under his breath. “We got John Cena’d.”

The host then went on to appear to try and salvage the moment and contend that it was all in good fun as he stated, “It actually is one of my favorite things I was able to do off of that whole immunization thing is tweet that you should be in jail and then I would have people who’d get the joke and then there would be like a ton of people who’d be like, ‘Oh, you like, you think COVID is so real he should be in jail.’ And it was just, my mentions would just be a mess!”

At one point, the host had written, “Glad you think Aaron Rodgers hosting weekly Superspreader events at Lambeau Field is a joke to you. It’s not to me. He should be in jail.”

Whether or not Katz meant these remarks in good fun or in fact, social media users dubbed him “Lib Cat” over the comments and Rodgers pressed on the issue stating, “And probably a lot of people said, ‘F*ck yeah, put him in jail. Get that liar in jail.”

The football player’s slam against the host tied neatly into his regularly stated position that dissenting opinions were being censored and those promoting ideas like Katz, even in jest, were only exacerbating the problem.

“When in the course of human history has the side that’s doing the censoring and trying to shut people up and make them show papers and marginalize a part of the community ever been [the correct side]?” he asked during an interview earlier this year.

“Are they censoring terrorists or pedophiles? Criminal who have Twitter profiles?” Rodgers went on to ask. “No, they’re censoring people, and they’re shadow-banning people who have dissenting opinions about vaccines.”
