Ted Cruz blasts Biden in graphic video for ignoring ‘Narco slave trade’ at southern border: ‘This is barbaric’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tweeted a very graphic video, hitting home the absolute brutality on the border when it comes to illegal immigrant children and the “Narco slave trade.”

The video opens up with Cruz and border officials helping out a group of illegal aliens who crossed the border in the middle of the night. The Texas senator pointed out that children come across the border already owing thousands of dollars to the drug cartels that provide them passage into the United States.

“These children come in in debt to vicious cartels thousands and thousands of dollars. The teenage boys work for the gangs in every city in America, and the teenage girls experience a hell worse than that, with far too many of them human trafficked into sex slavery,” Cruz stated in the video. “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are responsible for the worst plague of slavery in America since the Civil War.”

“This is not compassionate. This is not humane. This is barbaric,” Cruz bluntly charged as graphic photos of illegal immigrants who have died while attempting to cross the border are shown. The pictures include a father and child lying face down in the water just as they reached land.

The video finished by stating, “Abolish the Narco Slave Trade.”

According to Noticias Telemundo Investiga, which spoke with numerous illegal immigrants who had crossed the southern border, drug cartels kidnap families, both before and after, they try to come into the United States. Once they are kidnapped, they are forced to hand over their cellphones and are told they will lose a finger if they do not contact their families and instruct them to pay the ransom to stop their victims from being harmed.

If the ransom is not paid as instructed, photographs of the victims who have been brutally raped or beaten are sent back to the families.

Researcher Guadalupe Correa-Cabrera told NBC News that illegal immigrants do not report attacks by the cartels.

“They don’t report them because they threaten them if they do so, and they don’t know who to turn to. Most kidnappers have ties to the authorities, so it’s virtually impossible that they’ll take action against them. It is the perfect business,” she noted.

Reuters reported in March 2021 that approximately 10,000 children under the age of 18 crossed illegally into the United States without their parents the month before. That was almost double the number in January according to CBP data. The soaring number of children crossing from the month before came after the Biden administration announced at the beginning of February 2021 that it would not rapidly expel unaccompanied minors.

“It’s good to take advantage of the moment because children are able to pass quickly. That’s what we’re telling everyone,” a Guatemalan smuggler told Reuters in an interview.

President Biden has overseen a historic catastrophe at the southern border with record-breaking crossings in 2021 and 2022, according to Fox News.

The Biden administration has attempted to portray the massive surge of illegal immigrants as a yearly pattern. While there has been an increase in the number of crossings each spring, the surges in 2021 and 2022 far exceed those in previous years.

The U.S. saw 1.7 million border crossings by the end of 2021, which was an all-time record. This year is expected to break that record. It will reportedly get even worse in 2023.
