Third radio host bolts from Spanish-speaking station in Miami before Soros-linked takeover

The iconic Miami-based, Spanish-language Radio Mambi radio station has a problem—it’s hemorrhaging its most popular conservative radio hosts ahead of an impending hostile takeover of the station by a liberal media group with ties to George Soros.

Dania Alexandrino is the latest star who has decided to cut ties with the station rather than compromise her principles, joining former Radio Mambi host Lourdes Ubieta and most recently Nelson Rubio, who have also refused to work under a group with ties to toxic and corrosive leftist organizations. Both Alexandrino, Ubieta and Rubio will now work at Americano Media, a new conservative news group that has been actively recruiting refugees from Radio Mambi.

Alexandrino told Fox News that she knew the minute she heard the Soros-funded group would be acquiring Radio Mambi that it was time for her to seek new opportunities. Working for a group that was tied to her arch-enemy, Democratic Representative Darren Soto, was out of the question.

“I found out by reading an article and I was like, ‘Holy crap,’ so I sent it to the station manager and I was like, ‘I do want you to know that if this purchase happens, there’s no way in hell I’m taking any money from this staff,'” she explained. “I was straightforward about that because I’ve had an on-air rift with Congressman Darren Soto…he belongs to the Hispanic Congressional Caucus, which I happen to call the Hispanic Communist Caucus. For months, he’s been trying to push censorship of Radio Mambi.”

Radio Mambi is an iconic Miami radio station, linked to South Florida’s substantial community of Cuban émigrés, and has historically offered an anti-communist outlook that won the station a loyal following among the Spanish-speaking conservative population in Miami and surrounding areas. Which makes its takeover by a group funded by a notorious commie all the more lamentable.

The new network will be called Latino Media Network, and is set to comprise 18 Spanish radio stations, including Radio Mambi, and was partially funded by Lakestar Finance, an investment concern associated with Soros Fund Management. Alexandrino has no doubts about where conservatives like her will stand should the deal go through next year, pending approval by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

“I’ve had a bone to pick with Darren Soto and with George Soros, because George Soros has actually financed most of Darren Soto’s campaign,” she said. “His campaigns have been funded by Latino Victory Fund which get their financing from George Soros. So, you know whether you want to call it directly or indirectly, he’s been financed by George Soros…my principles, my values will not allow me to take any money from a man that I’ve been shunning and that I’ve been destroying on the air as somebody who only searches and seeks the destruction of America.”

Furthermore, Alexandrino doesn’t place an ounce of faith in the slick-talking points emanating from Latino Media Network that there won’t be any programming changes or attempts at censorship.

“They’re going to try to be classy about it,” she explained. “They’re going to start saying, ‘Well, you can’t say that.’ And then from that, ‘You can’t say that,’ and then all of a sudden, we’re going to have this long list of things that we won’t be able to talk about on the air. And I’m just not—I’m not that type of person, you do not censor and you do not tell me what to say or not say on the air.”

Alexandrino is looking forward to her new program on Americano, which airs at 8 PM ET. She’ll also be serving as senior advisor to Americano Media founder and CEO Ivan Garcia-Hidalgo. Alexandrino will be in good company with her fellow Radio Mambi alumni, whose exodus has virtually wiped out the venerable radio station’s lineup.

“What excites me about Americano,” Alexandrino said, “is it’s the first project of its kind, the first nationwide multi-platform media project that looks to serve that section of the Hispanic community that’s never been served by Univision or Telemundo. When you watch Telemundo and Univision, you have people that are constantly serving as the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. So our audience, our people, you know, Latinos that are first-generation Latinos who are the ones that usually come through Spanish-language media, have been held captive for years by the Democratic Party and by Univision and Telemundo, constantly lying to them and using them for political gain.”

According to its website, Americano Media aims to be “a counterrevolution and the entry onto the scene of the only non-progressive national media outlet created by and for the Hispanic American community, a community tired of being treated as a victim of its past, played with emotionally, and to which the other networks in the country only offer fear for its present and uncertainty for its future.”
