Democrats and their army of abortion zealots have been burning the midnight oil to find ways to circumvent the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade and one idea that has been proposed is a floating abortion clinic in the Gulf of Mexico that will service mothers seeking to terminate their unborn children in pro-life southern states.
The idea comes from Dr. Meg Autry, a San Francisco-based obstetrician and gynecologist who is also a college professor at the University of California San Francisco who proposed the creation of the facility onboard a ship in federal waters to service abortion seekers in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas which have taken steps to ban baby killing in the aftermath of the court’s historic ruling.
“There’s been an assault on reproductive rights in our country and I’m a lifelong advocate for reproductive health and choice. We have to create options and be thoughtful and creative to help people in restrictive states get the health care they deserve,” Dr. Autry told The Associated Press.
She said that the project is currently in the fundraising stage through the pro-abortion organization “PRROWESS” which stands for “Protecting Reproductive Rights Of Women Endangered by State Statutes,” a non-profit that “will arrange for patients to be transported to the ship, which will vary depending on where they are coming from, once they pass a pre-screening process,” according to NBC Bay Area.
“Autry and a team of licensed medical professionals will offer surgical abortions for up to 14 weeks of pregnancy. The PRROWESS team would also offer other point-of-care gynecological services such as testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections,” the outlet reported.

“Part of the reason we’re working on this project so hard is because wealthy people in our country are always going to have access [to abortions], so once again it’s a time now where poor, people of color, marginalized individuals, are gonna suffer –and by suffering I mean like lives lost,” Autry told NBC Bay Area.
“It is my life’s work,” she said of snuffing out the lives of the unborn.

Cali and Oregon are pretty much lawless anyways so why don’t they just allow those two states to perform abortions. Let ‘em all go there to kill their embryo’s. The rest of the country should put in place reasonable laws like a 12-15 week deciding period w/ longer for med/rape

According to AP, “Autry said their legal team believes there is a swath of federal water where licensed providers could safely and legally provide abortions out of reach of state laws. For women in southern states with abortion bans, going to the coast and boarding a boat may be closer and easier than trying to travel to a state where abortion remains legal, she said.”
“This is closer and faster access for some people, particularly for working people that live in the southernmost part of these states,” Dr. Autry said.
