Former David Hogg pillow partner scrambles to cover tracks on fake Morton’s reservations campaign

Leftist pillow tycoon wannabe William LeGate is now claiming he never encouraged his followers to book fake restaurant reservations after quietly deleting a series of tweets that critics claim appeared to encourage his followers to do just that in response to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh having to be escorted out of the back door of a Washington D.C. restaurant due to aggressive pro-abortion protestors harassing him.

LeGate claimed on Saturday, “I tweeted about what was happening… never advocated for it. Deleted the tweets bc people such as yourself were (deliberately?) misconstruing my tweets about current events as some sort of call-to-action – which it wasn’t.”

Let’s review, shall we? Fortunately, the tweets were screen-captured and reposted for posterity.

In one retweet, he passed this message to his followers along with the link to book an online reservation: “Oh no! This is terrible! Click the link to find a local Morton’s where you can make a reservation and support them! Definitely don’t use it for any other purpose!”

Other tweets include one from LeGate celebrating that Morton’s Steakhouse DC is now “fully booked” for tonight and mentioned that “they have dozens of other locations across the country which are rapidly being booked by pro-choice protestors.”

As reported by American Wire, LeGate’s online temper tantrum extended to the fact that Morton’s Steakhouse apparently filed what he called “false reports” of no shows on the reservation platform OpenTable, going as far as to tag @OpenTable to point out to them that Morton’s was allegedly violating their Terms of Service.

As if LeGate wasn’t crying loud enough in his rampage against the restaurant that was protecting the safety of its patron, he tried to make it about race in another tweet directed to Open Table that “People of color & other minority groups are reporting that they may be being *targeted* by Morton’s Steakhouse with reservation cancellations.”

LeGates followers responded with a swath of tweets celebrating their fake reservations and giving pointers on other ways to stick it to the company.

LeGate’s now-deleted tweets show that he found the fake reservations protest, at the very least, wildly humorous at the time.

LeGate deleted the entire series of tweets, except one:

“I don’t understand why Kavanaugh couldn’t just go to another state to eat? Why did he allow himself to get hungry in the first place?” LeGate asked his followers, including a thinking-face emoji.
