Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has taken the jab four times now, came down with COVID and immediately started on Pfizer’s Paxlovid treatment, however, he is now suffering a rebound with “much worse” symptoms.
The first course of the promoted antiviral medication evidently didn’t do the trick for the epidemiologist when he was diagnosed on June 15. He’s now on a second course and is reportedly much sicker following the first go-round. The National Institutes of Health released a statement at the time that the nation’s leading infectious disease expert was experiencing mild symptoms.
Given that Fauci is 81 years old, his worsening condition is evidently being taken seriously. But he appears to be up and around and via his interview, you’d never know that he has COVID. Fauci says he has some fatigue and congestion. He revealed his struggle with the virus during a remote interview with the Foreign Policy Global Health Forum on Tuesday.
It all started when Fauci’s condition took a turn for the worse after the NIH released its statement. He immediately began a five-day course of Paxlovid, which was granted an emergency use authorization by the FDA in December 2021 to treat high-risk COVID patients in an effort to prevent hospitalizations and deaths.
Two months ago, Dr. Fauci said that Pfizer’s “highly effective” treatment Paxlovid was being “underutilized”

The doctor reportedly recovered from COVID and tested negative for three days. Unfortunately, he tested positive again on day four, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. This appears to be a growing trend.
“And then over the next day or so, I started to feel really poorly, much worse than in the first go-around,” Fauci stated during his interview. “So I went back on Paxlovid and right now I am on my fourth day of a five-day course.”
He now feels better but asserts that he’s “not completely without symptoms.”
The Biden administration announced in April that it was expanding the availability of Paxlovid. They branded it as “one of the most effective treatments in our nation’s medicine cabinet.”
Fauci took a 2nd course of Paxlovid against the guidelines of his own health agencies.
Got sick anyway.
Not so hilarious: US taxpayer has subsidized these junk pills to the tune of $6 billion dollars.

The CDC issued a warning a month later warning of “COVID rebound” after Paxlovid treatment. They claim that some patients that have taken the course of treatment experience a recurrence of COVID symptoms or test positive for the virus two to eight days after the initial recovery.
The CDC noted that “a brief return of symptoms may be part of the natural history of (COVID-19) infection in some persons, independent of treatment with Paxlovid and regardless of vaccination status.”
According to the agency, there have been no reports of severe illness associated with rebound cases.
A study conducted by the University of California San Diego School of Medicine indicated that “COVID rebound” following a Paxlovid treatment is potentially caused by insufficient exposure to the drug because not enough of it was getting to infected cells to stop all viral replication. The authors posited that this may be because the drug is metabolized more quickly in some people than others, or that the drug needs to be administered over a longer period of time.
