Govs Abbott, Ducey sends 79 buses of migrants to DC, DeSantis cries foul: ‘Send ’em back across the border’

An initiative by Governors Greg Abbott and Doug Ducey has sent 79 buses of illegal immigrants packing to Washington, D.C., but Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wants to know why they don’t just send them back south of the border.

Republican officials in Arizona and Texas have sent dozens of buses packed to the gills with illegal immigrants to Washington, DC in protest of President Joe Biden’s almost non-existent immigration policies, according to the Washington Examiner.

The buses were provided under an initiative that was presented by both governors of Arizona and Texas according to spokespeople who talked to the media outlet.

“These people are wanting to go somewhere else. They’re not wanting to stay in Arizona,” Morgan Carr, the spokeswoman for Gov. Doug Ducey (R-Ariz.) stated. “From what we’re seeing, they’re all primarily [headed to] the East Coast.”

Yet, the call to send them back whence they came is a popular one:

Sixty-five of the 79 buses came from Texas, transporting more than 2,000 illegal immigrants to the nation’s capital. The other fourteen came from Arizona and have reportedly ferried 523 individuals.

A quarter of the illegal immigrants in Arizona getting on buses claimed they were heading to New York after leaving Washington, DC. Twenty-three percent said they would go to New Jersey. Florida came in third.

Sixty-nine percent of illegal immigrants in Arizona who took a bus ride were from Colombia. Fifteen percent were Peruvians. According to Carr, eight Russians were on one bus that left on Tuesday.

Abbott announced on April 6 that Texas would use emergency evacuation procedures to transport migrants out of the state to “take the border to President Biden.” Although Abbott vowed to drop off migrants right at the Capitol, the buses have actually dropped illegal immigrants off closer to Union Station.

While Texas is footing its own bill for transporting illegal immigrants to D.C., Arizona expects the Biden administration to pick up its tab. It is extremely doubtful that they will.

“This is a problem caused by Washington. We’re bringing it to Washington, and we expect Washington to foot the bill. We’re going to send them a bill,” Ducey spokesman C.J. Karamargin told the Washington Examiner in an interview.

Meanwhile, Gov. Ron DeSantis cried foul and said Texas should turn illegal immigrants around and send them back south of the border.

“They let them come across and then you give them to the feds, and the feds just release them anyways,” DeSantis said according to Florida Politics. “What they need to do, Texas, is Texas should just send them back across the border.”

Almost a year ago, the Florida governor sent 50 officers to the southern border. DeSantis then traveled to Texas to get a look at the border for himself with Abbott. He bluntly called Biden’s border policies “absolutely catastrophic.”

“Who cares what the feds are saying? They’re not doing their job,” he asserted. “Or not let them come across the border to begin with, because they go right across the river. They just walk right across. No one’s stopping. Some pushback, I think, would be good. And I would send people to help with that.”

“There’s a massive, massive caravan that’s coming towards the southern border right now. And what is Biden doing? He’s fumbling around on late-night TV shows,” DeSantis charged. “He needs to get in the game here, and he needs to defend our country’s sovereignty because that’s going to absolutely overwhelm not just Texas, but it’s going to overwhelm a lot of other communities throughout the United States of America.”

DeSantis is predicting that Biden’s inaction is going to flip entire areas red in upcoming elections.

“All those communities now, traditionally, (have) been blue areas,” he remarked to Florida Politics. “They’re all going to go very dark red in the election because of the border and because (of) a lot of these other bad policies, the wokeness, and all this other stuff. People are absolutely responding, and nobody’s listening in DC.”

  2. Governors don’t have the authority to deport illegal aliens. They can only bus willing illegal aliens, otherwise it’s kidnapping.

    1. They do not have rights here. They also do not have the rights to ANY Tax paid programs and the Supreme Court even claims that!!!

While sending them to DC might appear to be a good way to make out of control illegal immigration abundantly clear to those who live & work there, I would not be at all surprised if/when Washington DC likewise just busses them off to somewhere else, and QUIETLY. Media will have virtually nothing to say about it in any case. Shhh.

    Remember, the illiberal left has virtually all of U.S. corporate media on their side. Hunter Biden’s laptop, the protests and threats to the lives and families of Supreme Court Justices if they rule according to what the U.S. Constitution does or does not say, the massive surge of illegals heading our way in caravans even now, with well over 2 MILLION illegals already having entered since Biden took office, the rise in violent crime in big blue cities across America being the clear result of idiotic democrat policies, and so on – any reality that runs counter to the democrat narrative is INGNORED BY U.S. corporate media.

    And that is why on countless things like this that really matter, all we end up with is:

Send all illegal aliens to Democrat-infested locales like Martha’s Vineyard (where Hillary lives, Obummer has a $12-million-dollar beachfront house and climate czar hypocrite John Kerry has a $multi-million-dollar beachfront house), multiple towns in Delaware where Biden has homes (including a beachfront mansion), San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, etc.

    Democrats want these illegals- let them pay for it.

  6. DeSantis missed the point. Sending them to DC and messing up that town is giving those Brandonite morons a taste of their own medicine. Make them as miserable as they are making other states miserable.

  7. Send them to Delaware to babbling Biden’s beach house. Tell him deal with them. Don’t send them to the walking mattress Kamala Harris, as it will be another spike in abortions and she mates anything that walks
