In a move that doesn’t surprise much of anyone, President Joe Biden has tapped a notorious Defund the Police supporter to replace one of his most senior aides just before the midterm elections.
As leftist attorney Cedric Richmond exits through the revolving door of the Biden administration, former mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Lance Bottoms will join the team as one of the president’s most senior aides, according to Fox News.
White House Counsel Dana Remus will also depart stage left. She will be replaced by Stuart Delery who is Assistant to the President and White House Counsel. Remus served her purpose in helping to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court and is now on her way out the door.
Julie Chavez Rodriguez will be promoted to Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President while she continues serving as the Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.

After Bottoms ceased being the mayor of Atlanta, she became a CNN political commentator, as well as the vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee. She will now serve as director of the White House Office of Public Engagement.
She wrote on Instagram that she was “honored” to be selected for the position.
“Mayor Bottoms understands that democracy is about making government work for working families, for the people who are the backbone of this country. She led the city of Atlanta with strength through the pandemic, through a summer of protests and pain, and through the mass shooting that left Atlanta’s Asian American community in fear,” Biden proclaimed in a statement.
“Keisha is bright, honorable, tough, and has the integrity required to represent our Administration to the American public. Jill and I have known Keisha for a long time and look forward to working with her more closely,” the president added.

The Republican Conference in the House of Representatives was not amused by Biden bringing her on board and tweeted, “No surprise Joe Biden just hired a MASSIVE defund the police supporter.”
Another ‘Defund the Police’ supporter is set to join Biden’s White House: Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.

Bottoms was a proponent of the Defund the Police movement during the summer of 2020 following George Floyd’s death, according to Fox News. She encouraged others in their hatred for the police as well. A year later, she allegedly changed her tune.
In an impressive flip-flop, she told The Atlanta Constitution Journal in June of 2021, that she opposed withholding $73 million in funding for the police. Instead, she championed a strong budget for the police department and called for increased pay for officers. Her change of heart was shallow, however. Bottoms blamed the crime wave that was sweeping Atlanta on Georgia’s early COVID reopening, saying it was all Republican Gov. Brian Kemp’s fault, not her own soft-on-crime agenda.
The White House states that its Office of Public Engagement “works at the local, state, and national levels to ensure community leaders, diverse perspectives, and new voices have the opportunity to inform the work of the President in an inclusive, transparent and responsible way.”
She ruined Atlanta and turned it into a shit hole in a couple of years and Biden ruined American in a couple of years seems like the perfect match #failingup

Bottoms’ arrival comes just five months before a historic rout is expected for Democrats which could result in them losing both the Senate and the House, making Biden a lame-duck president.
Cedric Richmond departed the White House in May to work for the Democratic National Committee, paving the way for Bottoms’ ascension. The Biden administration made a commitment to elevating leaders of color and this is another move in that direction. The CNN commentator had also been on Biden’s shortlist as a contender to be vice president.

Black, female, “defund the Police”. The only qualifications needed to serve as a top official under Biden. But who knows? maybe that would be an improvement as in the past, he also needed dumb people to serve.
Hoping I survive this administration.
