The gun-grabbing political left trotted out youngsters who wore images of school shooting victims around their necks and held signs bearing slogans such as “Am I Next?” outside of Friday’s National Rifle Association convention in Houston, a sickening new low for Democrats and their operatives.
In the latest of a seemingly endless series of tiresome temper tantrums that have become commonplace over the last several years, leftist hordes responded to the call to turn out in force at the NRA’s annual gathering only days after the horrific mass murder of 19 children and two teachers in their classroom by an 18-year-old lunatic with obvious mental health issues, yet another golden opportunity to exploit a terrible crisis to promote their political agenda.
And they brought their kids with them, stringing anti-Second Amendment messages and pictures of the victims from Uvalde around their necks and lining them up in a row to put a massive guilt trip on the tens of millions of law-abiding American gun owners who didn’t commit a bloody massacre and, of course, the media ate it up.

One group of anti-freedom activists staged a mock funeral, toting a child-sized casket and chanting “Protect our kids, not guns.”

Other leftist miscreants who showed up to push for the disarmament of millions of Americans included Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, the bottom-feeding Democratic Party candidate for the Lone Star State governorship who was fresh off of disrupting a press conference filled with grieving victims for a political stunt, and he roused the rabble outside of the venue.

Another Democrat, the perpetually unhinged Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee whose district is in Houston demanded that the NRA “cancel itself” and that former President Trump cancel his scheduled speech at the NRA convention, while surrounded by children with signs on them.
"NRA, cancel yourself."

Gun confiscation advocate David Hogg, whose path to media stardom ran over the dead bodies of his own classmates who were murdered in the 2018 school shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, called for allies in the cause to shut down the NRA.

Others were even less eloquent, braying obscenities at the top of their lungs.

At the protest today in Houston outside the #NRA convention. It is soul-crushing that this organization did not cancel its party after #Uvalde – the deaths of 19 children and two teachers mean NOTHING to those gun worshippers and weapons manufacturers. pic.twitter.com/pHUwLPzqwl

Fortunately, there was no armed confrontation which is what it seemed like batty Hollywood has-been Bette Midler was calling for when she tweeted out a call to arms for protesters to show up packing heat.

“AT THE GEORGE R BROWN CONVENTION CENTER IN HOUSTON TEXAS, THIS WEEKEND. Come armed,” tweeted the “Hocus Pocus” star in a message that didn’t receive the appropriate scrutiny from whoever at Twitter is tasked with taking down encouragements to engage in violence.
Despite the cacophony of whining and shouting, the NRA convention went on as scheduled with Trump bringing down the house on Friday as angry protesters and their child props raged in futility outside.
