As parents in Uvalde, Texas, and across the nation grieve over the loss of 19 children and two teachers following a horrific mass shooting, incidents of teens threatening to shoot up schools in California and Texas are popping up and a Texas student was arrested for having guns in his car.

Thursday, a Texas school district shut down all campuses after a mass shooting threat was reported to the police. Donna Independent School District announced on its Facebook page that it has decided to close all schools in light of recent events and out of an abundance of caution.

The district is in the Rio Grande Valley area near McAllen.

According to The Monitor, an AK-47 and a list of targeted students were found by police in the home of one of the suspects.

Two to three suspects were involved in a foiled plot to open fire on one of the district’s campuses according to the media outlet. Donna ISD superintendent Angela Dominguez stated that she cannot comment on the details of the situation, but confirmed they will be shutting down all campuses Thursday and Friday and said they are taking action out of an abundance of caution.

In San Antonio, Northside Independent School District is also investigating a threat that was made via social media against one of its campuses on Wednesday. The district said it’s aware of a photo circulating on Instagram of someone threatening the students at Sul Ross Middle School at 3630 Callaghan Road.

A Richardson, Texas student was also arrested and charged on Wednesday with unlawful carrying of weapons in a weapon-free school zone after an AK-47 style gun and a replica AR-15 rifle were found in his vehicle, according to the New York Post.

An unnamed worker at a business in Richardson called police to report a male walking in the 1500 block of East Spring Valley Road towards Berkner High School with what appeared to be a rifle just before 11 am. Within minutes police arrived at the school and located the student. The teen was unarmed when he was arrested but the guns were found in his car.

Police thanked the “vigilant awareness and actions of the person who initially called 911 to alert law enforcement.”

California law enforcement arrested an unnamed teen on Wednesday for making online threats to shoot people at two different schools.

A Fremont, California school contacted police after threats were made against a school employee online using “racial epithets.” The teen was identified and arrested on Wednesday morning. Police stated that the teen is being charged with felony terrorist threats and a hate crime.

“While numerous subjects were involved in this conversation, the student who was arrested made direct threats of gun violence towards the school employee. The student also made comments about committing additional gun violence at an unnamed secondary school,” police said in a statement.

“The arrested student is a 17-year-old male, and due to his age, his identity will not be released,” authorities said.

Police searched the teen’s home and they found “numerous pieces of evidence,” but they did not find a gun.

  1. Why isn’t anyone arresting bet middler, that female dog just threatened people with gun violence.

  2. (arrested and charged on Wednesday with unlawful carrying of weapons in a weapon-free school zone)-

Doesn’t anyone else recognize the absurdity of a “weapons free zone”???!!!

  3. Could it be the violent video games and shootem up movies that immune the children to the horrors of the carnage they seek to create??? ALL these “copycat” idiots need to face PUBLIC TRIALS and LONG TREATMENTS in MENTAL HOSPITAL PRISONS!! If it’s determined they are dangerous then they STAY!! Let’s RESTRICT and have VIOLENT VIDEO GAME CONTROL and see how THAT might improve the situation!

  4. I remember after Sandy Hook, sick-ass teenagers were bragging on Twitter that they could get a higher body count. Jack Dorsey didn’t delete THOSE Tweets, I’ll bet.

  5. This is all planned ,mass shootings in Texas ,people arrested in calafonia
    For copy cat assault .
Dumbass Schumer calling for all gun ban ,
The convenient excuse to divert attention to gun control ,
with mid terms approaching. A deterrent
Disarm the American people ,rendering them helpless , controlled.
Guns do not kill , the person behind the gun kills people.
Anyone who wants to kill ,will obtain a gun any way to complete their mission to kill.

    1. Don’t need a gun, that’s why the new call for disarming Americans is stupid. The mentally sick are going to do it anyway, just like someone doused a homeless guy in Chicago and set him on fire, or taking bats to orientals in the Bay area in Calif, or tossing molotov coctails, or using a hatchet or a machete. These sickos play violent video games that the whole endgame is to kill as many people with as many methods as possible. Didn’t the guy who killed a Dancing Granny at a Christmas parade love playing the car game?

  6. WOW look at that … MORE guns went and grabbed stupid , ignorant , PERHAPS mentally challenged kids , and MADE them post about shooting up schools…

It is always the gun’s fault , correct ?

Not to make light of the current situation in this country, but the FACTS are , these kids want to be copy cat ” killa’s ” , and the GUN has nothing to do with it…
It is the PERSON… Ends of Debate !
