Of those present at a Texas elementary school Tuesday morning when a murderer entered the building and took the lives of at least 19 children and two teachers, it is being reported that one of the victims spent her last moments trying to save the lives of her classmates while the suspect declared, “You’re going to die.”
Salvador Ramos was identified as the 18-year-old shooter at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas where witnesses described him wearing body armor while carrying a handgun and a rifle. As the suspect opened fire on the defenseless students and faculty, 10-year-old Amerie Jo Garza did what she could to try and help her peers.
The fourth-grader was said to have taken out her cellphone in an effort to call the police before the suspect saw what she was doing. Berlinda Irene Arreola, Garza’s grandmother, explained in a message to The Daily Beast, “My Grand Daughter was shot and killed for trying to call 911, she died a Hero trying to get help for her and her fellow classmates.”
Of her “super-outgoing” and “generous” granddaughter, Arreola went into greater detail in an interview with the Beast and said, “So the gunman went in and he told the children, ‘You’re going to die.’ And she had her phone and she called 911. And instead of grabbing it and breaking it or taking it from her, he shot her.”
“She was sitting right next to her best friend,” the heartbroken grandmother said. “Her best friend was covered in her blood.”
It wasn’t until a Border Patrol agent rushed into the building and exchanged fire with the suspect that the murderer was fatally wounded and his rampage was put to an end.
Throughout the day, while parents hoped and prayed that they would be reunited with their unaccounted for children, Amerie Jo’s stepfather, Angel Garza, took to Facebook asking for help when it had been seven hours with no word on her whereabouts. When he learned that she was one of the victims he added an update stating, “Thank you everyone for the prayers and help trying to find my baby. She’s been found. My little love is now flying high with the angels above. Please don’t take a second for granted. Hug your family. Tell them you love them. I love you Amerie jo. Watch over your baby brother for me.”
Arreola explained that the family had been notified by Texas Rangers that Amerie Jo was among those fatally wounded and that she had been moved to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. It was then that she learned of her granddaughter’s heroism from survivors and the authorities.
“She was just super-outgoing,” Arreola remembered Amerie Jo. “She had a generous heart. She was always there to lend anybody a helping hand. She was very quick to be a teacher’s pet. She had just gotten her award today for A-B Honor Roll. She was very smart and she was looking forward to making a life for herself.”
In addition to her grandmother, stepfather and mother, Amerie Jo is survived by her 3-year-old brother, whom Arreola said she doted on.

From what I am hearing on the 30th, how soon will we hear of the resignation of the teacher who supposedly propped a door open. If it is true that a teacher left a door unsecured, that sounds like a person who should never again be trusted as a teacher.

The legal age to buy a gun….
The U.S. military enlists 18 year olds and younger with parent consent….then they are given a fully automatic rifle…but can’t buy beer! The contradictions in this country are bold and confusing. Mainstreaming across the board would help.
Schools need to form militias of trusted teachers .
As with all these massacres, we are now hearing he was “known” to police. We need to change the involuntary commitment laws, we need to change the laws that allow these OBVIOUSLY very troubled and violent youth to remain in public. How many children would be alive in Chicago if prosecutors allowed the police to keep so many of the gang members locked up?
After Sandy Hook multiple simple solutions were suggested that were all ignored:
1. Don’t mandate, but allow teachers who are trained and willing to be armed.
2. Put an armed officer (civilian or ex-military) in each school
3. Once school is in session eliminate all access except through the front entrance which is locked and protected.
4. Review all mental health protocols for students identified as threats.
The reason schools are attacked is because they are easy “soft” targets for any cowardly, mentally ill potential shooter. This tragedy probably could have been prevented if these simple (and not costly) steps would have been in place. Instead, the government wants to politicize every tragedy to push to confiscate guns from law abiding citizens while ignoring the mass murder going on in our cities every day and ignoring simple solutions that could prevent these kinds of horrific shootings.
There is a common thread among the majority of these individuals that perform these mass shooting. They all seem to be mentally disturbed individuals. The majority of them have been taking ritalin for Bi-polar disorders. Like it or not , it is the common thread.
Weird. EVERYONE asking “Why is this happening?” “What can we do?” And STILL not ONE mention of “I wonder if this has ANYTHING to do with taking GOD out of schools/THIS COUNTRY!” Nah. Easier to blame conservatives. Who most want to start putting God back…

That devil terrorized those precious 4th graders in such a demonic way- it is absolutely sickening. Fourth graders are young people who have a very well-developed sense of right and wrong, good and evil. This age is very aware- their brains are really growing and their promise has no bounds. I am overcome by emotion to think what horror these kids and their teachers went through to see their class blown to bits. My love goes to their families. I saw my 4th grader grandson in Amerie jo’s bright and friendly face. God help us. The devil is afoot.

Since Sandy Hook…..that was 2012-13…..I was PLEADING on blog sites like this…..why isn’t there uniformly-controlled-access to schools like we have for ANY Federal or State government building? A point-of-entry with a guard house you need to pass through first, and then metal detection screening in the lobby? Is that so hard? . It needn’t look militaristic….just sensible. But NO…..the COST they say….so it seems protecting govt employees at Federal and State buildings is more important. Is that what I’m hearing? Of course here come the new wave of “we need sensible gun laws” (Biden and his handlers are already saying that) . To those that think this way…..think again…..there is a large group of people who do ( and will) work in the confines of laws….and there is a smaller group who don’t. Those who don’t follow laws altogether ( killing)…. will not follow a new, added law. Idiots.
Because the dems. dont want to harden these sites against unwanted intruders. They want the gun violence to escalate. For that to happen they need the violence to continue. The bigger picture is that they want to use these acts so that they can take away our arms. Then they can control the whole of society and allow those whom they have made agreements with to come in and take over without any retaliation. Never let a crisis go to waste. So they continue to create the crises to fulfill their agendas .

False flag, Sandy Hook? Do you really mean to characterize the assassination of little kids as a “False Flag”? Sandy Hook was real. Ask the kids’ parents. Ask the teachers. If you meant to get deeper into gun laws and the second amendment, then go for it. But to minimize assassinated babies as merely a “false flag” sounds brutal.

Generalal, I am sure that the wicked wheels of the Dems and their Media minions are whirling over time. They are already mocking conservatives for presenting the crux of the massacre problem as mental illness. We have had people shut down and isolated for 2 years. Teenagers have suffered dramatically. Look at the teen suicide rates. What the Dems refuse to see is what happens when you isolate teenage boys and leave them to their own devices (literally and figuratively) where they can feed their sickest perversions for porn and violence at will? Plus, American Education has taught them that America is a hateful, racist, unfair place and the world will end during their lifetimes due to man-made climate change? Humans are a cancer on the Earth. They are taught that the overpopulation of humans must be stopped. Add to that, the Leftists’ claim that human beings have only the value that their mothers assign to them OR NOT. Abortion up to birth? Gee, what could these policy positions do to the mind of young people? Teenage boys and young men are notoriously immature and prone to angry outbursts. Now, add no dances, no dating, and no high school experiences that are the necessary rites of passage. No jobs, no saving for a first car. Used cars are way too costly and forget about being able to fix it up and put gas in it. Add to the brew, the concept of “male toxicity” that derides young men for being male. How about the destruction of family ties and role models and mentors. This 18 year old was a wreck. His life was a wreck. I would not be surprised if he had troubles at school and got a pass. Restorative Justice in school discipline. Don’t punish people for bad behaviors and misdeeds. It makes the school look bad. Then, we get a monster and the Dems will yell about the NRA.
Not to mention the mind altering drugs like Ritalin for stability. Most of these shooters have had Ritalin prescribed to them.Its a very common thread among them.
