Ainsley Earhardt pushes back on Kilmeade’s brutal criticism of new press secretary’s ‘awful start’

“Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt gently pushed back against her colleague Brian Kilmeade on Thursday after he showed evident disgust with newly anointed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre who seems to have few answers to questions and appears to read off her notes.

“Before he went to Korea, Peter Doocy asked this question of the press secretary,” co-host Steve Doocy stated and then played a clip of Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy grilling Jean-Pierre.

“Americans are now spending $5,000 a year on gasoline. That’s almost double what they did a year ago. Where are people supposed to go get all that extra cash?” Doocy asked as Jean-Pierre kept her eyes glued to her notes.

“One of the things that we’ve been very clear about is to do everything in our power to make sure that we lower costs. You know, it’s important that we see it. The president understands what the American people is going through. That’s why we’re doing everything that we can…” she responded avoiding an actual answer to the question.

“Whether it’s the strategic petroleum reserve, whether it’s the ethanol 15 to make sure that the American people are not feeling Putin’s price hike. This is where this is coming from. Sixty to seventy percent of the current price hike we have seen has come from Putin’s aggression against Ukraine,” she deflected, using talking points to shift blame for inflation and gas prices.

“So it says in my folder, so it must be true,” Kilmeade snarked.

“She is off to an awful start. I don’t know how she is going to keep that job,” Kilmeade flatly stated.

She didn’t know anything instinctively, was reading things off… I remember I had to do sales in college and they used to say there’s six objections you read off the board. If anyone objects to the price or how soon or you don’t want to do it, or you have enough… so you just sit there and you read off the board no matter what they said. That’s what it was, okay… Putin’s price tag… let me go find that page,” he remarked.

“You have to understand the issues in order to be able to answer the questions. It makes you think you can’t even use those soundbites for a news story,” Kilmeade said ripping Jean-Pierre for being unprepared and repeatedly stumbling during her press conference.

“It has to be a very nerve-wracking job though,” Earhardt countered.

“She’s not prepared for it,” Kilmeade replied.

“And Jen Psaki had the same big book of answers,” Doocy pointed out.

Kilmeade noted that former press secretary Jen Psaki was “lightyears better from day one.”

“Maybe just give her a chance,” Earhardt pleaded in her defense. “Maybe in a few weeks…”

“Would not be surprised if she does not get any better,” Kilmeade tersely concluded.

Many out there contend that Jean-Pierre has already been at this a while, subbing for Psaki on numerous occasions. Issue after issue is apparently causing her to falter and read from prepped notes in order to even continue with her press conferences.

Answers are almost non-existent and most of her replies appear defensive, not explanatory and she’s getting hammered for it:

  1. Ainsley your wrong , she’s racist against Americans , we’ve done nothing to her and yet she points the finger at us all . Even if your a person of color that don’t agree with her messaging , and she’s not alone . We see who the racist ones are , there the first ones to say it .

  2. The man DOESN’T know how she will keep thejob?

It seems the dumber, snarkier, and dense you are the BETTER you are equipped for a job in this misadministration

    SMDH

    1. She is not qualified for the position. So what is new about this? The 3 so called diversity boxes are racist boxes.

  3. Besides ‘our conservative media/pundits’, I HOPE no one else GAF what she says. (Or any other press secretary… On EITHER side). Talking points.

  4. She’s queer , black , female and not born in this country – Perfect for the false administration ! She also has no idea what she is doing .

    1. Truth you said! That does not matter with them. This is their MO to keep the black vote.

  5. I agree with Brian Kilmeade. Karine Jean-Pierre is just awful. She only got the job because the boxes were checked. I see she is black, but why did she have to say she was Lesbian. Who cares.

    1. She had to let everyone know she is a lesbian so they can all kiss her a**. She didn’t have to say she was ignorant. I mean an immigrant. She’s both.
