Democrats wasted no time in exploiting the horrific mass murder of ten people at a Buffalo supermarket by a deranged racist shooter to push their anti-gun, pro-censorship agenda, and leading the way was New York Governor Kathy Hochul who demanded harsh measures during a tour of the Sunday morning news programs.
Hochul, who has already one-upped her scandal-drenched predecessor Andrew Cuomo in terms of raw authoritarianism, was in her full glory on a day when the families of the victims were still grieving over the sudden loss of their loved ones as she hit the media circuit to take advantage of the tragedy and to – as longtime Democrat operative Rahm Emanuel famously put it – not allow “a serious crisis to go to waste.”
During her interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” the governor told host Dana Bash that the shooting should serve as the impetus for a push for national laws placing restrictions on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens and also for more government control over social media, an increasing concern of the leftist establishment since pro-free speech billionaire Elon Musk’s purchase attempt of Twitter.
Governor Hochul used the existence of the alleged killer’s online manifesto as justification for the free speech rights of Americans who aren’t mass murderers to be severely restricted.
“Well, this manifesto tells everything to us and that is what’s so bone-chilling about it,” she said. “There is the ability for people to write and subscribe to such philosophies filled with hate, the white supremacist acts of terrorism that are being tormented (sic) on social media and to know what this one individual did has been shared with the rest of the world as well as the livestreaming of this military-style execution that occurred in the homes — in the streets of my hometown.”
“And that is what is so fundamentally disturbing about this,” she continued. “That this is not just long time ago, members of the KKK would sit in a hall and plot what they’re gonna do in their community, this spreads like a virus.”
“That’s why I’m calling on the CEOs of all the social media platforms to examine their policies and to be able to look me in the eye and tell me that everything is being done that they can to make sure that this information does not spread,” Hochul said, referring to the screed posted by the alleged mass murderer who was reportedly on the radar before he perpetrated his despicable acts.
“They have to be able to identify when information like this, the second it hits the platform, it needs to be taken down because this is spreading like wildfire. These theories that results in the radicalization of a young person sitting in their house, is deeply scary and it’s something that has to be dealt with,” the Democrat continued.
“You have called it, quote, feeding frenzy on social media for white supremacy, we also know that this is based on something that’s truly disgusting,” Bash interjected.
“It’s called replacement theory, the idea is that non-white people living in America are trying to replace white people, and it’s being pushed by some prominent right-wing voices and it’s been done so for years,” she claimed in a not thinly veiled shot at competitor Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. “What can be done to stop that?”
Hochul responded, “They need to be called out and leaders, elected officials from both parties need to be stand up at this moment and call it out and to shame it and to make sure these people crawl back into their holes and stay there.”
“This cannot be part of our mainstream dialogue here in the United States or America, so leaders have a responsibility to call it out,” she added. “As a leader of the state of New York, I also have a responsibility to make sure we protect people with respect to guns and we have some of the toughest laws in America on the books here, but the guns are coming in from other states or the enhanced magazine, which is exactly what happened here, the high-capacity magazine, that led to the slaughter of people in my hometown, so, we are dealing with it on the gun side but also on the social media side.”
“And the combination of the wild access to guns, unfettered, we need national laws to deal with this as well as the unfettered sharing of hate information on the internet, that is a lethal combination, we saw that on display here just hours ago yesterday,” Hochul said in her call to arms for the Biden regime and ruling Democrats to dismantle the first two amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
Hochul’s Sunday morning media tour also included a stop by NBC’s flagship “Meet The Press” where she made her case for social media censorship to the receptive ears of host Chuck Todd.

The governor was also regaled by longtime Clinton family operative George Stephanopoulos.

Once again, Democrats are weaponizing the actions of one insane individual as an excuse to advance their long-desired objective of disarming Americans, determined to not let this latest crisis go to waste in the words of the former Chicago mayor.
It’s probably pretty safe to predict that President Joe Biden and other top Democrats will soon follow their stalking horse in a call for a major crackdown on social media and the right of law-abiding Americans to bear arms to protect themselves and their families from criminals seeking to do them harm.

“with respect to guns and we have some of the toughest laws in America on the books here,”
Laws that failed. Those laws resulted in turning New York into a predator-safe hunting ground. Now she would like to take that failed policy nationwide. No thanks.
What a dumbass…I feel bad for New York. Does she realize why he was “on the radar?” Most likely because of his social media posts. So now we are going to hide them so that he has to conspire in the dark without anyone being aware.
Had that shooter been here in Florida, he would have been gunned down before he could get 3 shots off. Most shoppers in Florida are armed, unlike the democrat controlled blue states. Hochul is leaving out the shooter is an authoritarian leftist, just like her and Joe Biden. She also neglects to acknowledge that all KKK members are democrats. Both Hitler and Stalin would be so proud of her tyrannical ranting. This woman is a danger to the continuation of our republic. She needs to be removed before she can do any more damage. FJB
I can understand the anti-gun crowd like the mental midget Hochul promoting more gun control (which is proven it does not work) but to hide the complete truth about the incident so people don’t get the right idea is strictly Goebbels thought control or of 1984!!
THIS IS ONE EVIL BEOTCH !!
Another democrat speaks up on behalf of the devil. Her lying accusations and phony solutions are obvious.
Was this the ONLY shooting in NY yesterday??? I think not…but black on black doesn’t read well….
