Cruz calls NY Times ‘bigoted, moronic … elite, lying sacks of crap’ on claim of interracial marriage ban

Senator Ted Cruz didn’t hold back a bit with his criticism of The New York Times in remarks responding to a column by the paper’s editorial board suggesting that some states could move to ban interracial marriage if abortion rights ruling Roe v. Wade is overturned.

On the latest edition of his podcast “The Verdict,” the Texas Republican and co-host Michael Knowles discussed the hysterical reaction from Democrats and their media toadies since an individual who has yet to be publicly identified leaked a Supreme Court draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito suggesting that the controversial 1973 decision could itself be aborted.

In addition to the mob intimidation campaign against conservative justices in their homes, Dem politicians and many in the press have churned out lies and propaganda to convince the party’s emotionally unstable activist base that a reversal of Roe is the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent and that blacks and gays will soon have their rights stripped away by Republicans.

According to the alarmist screed from the Times, “Imagine that every state were free to choose whether to allow Black people and white people to marry. Some states would permit such marriages; others probably wouldn’t. The laws would be a mishmash, and interracial couples would suffer, legally consigned to second-class status depending on where they lived.”

Cruz was having none of it, “Now the Democrats have another tell, which is you notice that, when they’re talking about the Dobbs decision, they very, very quickly say if this decision goes into effect, it will strike down the availability of contraceptives.”

“It will strike down gay marriage and interracial marriage. The New York Times went so far, the editorial board of The New York Times suggested that there are multiple states in the union that if they were allowed to, would ban interracial marriage, what utter garbage!” Cruz continued. “You, bigoted moronic, Manhattan leftist, elite lying sacks of crap!”

“How do you really feel?” asked Knowles following Cruz’s frank analysis.

“Yeah, it, it kind of pisses me off,” Cruz admitted. “And I would note, by the way, that these racist leftists of The New York Times, there may be no one on planet Earth, whom they despise more than Justice Clarence Thomas who is married to a white woman.”

The very fact that Justice Thomas, the senior member of the high court is in a happy interracial marriage would seem to debunk the cultural elitists at the NYT editorial board but the reality-based world is not the one in which the left exists.

“He is in an interracial marriage. I suspect Clarence Thomas would be quite surprised if he were doing something to strike down interracial marriage, but the only people who imagine interracial marriage is gonna be struck down is radical leftists, because they’ve never actually met a conservative voter,” Cruz said.

“So they think we’re all right, bigoted Klansmen, but here’s the tell on this, when the Democrats and the press are not defending their positions on abortion, it’s because they know their positions on abortion are wildly out of the mainstream,” he added.

While Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell first floated the asinine claim that interracial marriage could be outlawed if Roe v. Wade falls, the NYT lent the outlandish conspiracy theory some intellectual heft.

“It seems an unthinkable scenario in 2022. That’s because in 1967 the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that barring interracial marriage, as 16 states still did, violates the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of equal protection. ‘Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual, and cannot be infringed by the state,’ the court stated in Loving v. Virginia,” wrote the editorial board.

“More than half a century on, Loving is considered one of the court’s great rulings, and yet it was not universally admired at the time. Southern states complied only grudgingly; Alabama didn’t repeal its ban on interracial marriage until 2000. That’s the point of having a federal Constitution that is supreme; the guarantees and rights in that document apply to all Americans equally, wherever they live. The court system — and the Supreme Court in particular — exists to protect those rights when state and local authorities refuse to,” added the ‘bigoted, moronic, Manhattan leftist, elite, lying sacks of crap.’

“So anytime you hear them talking about contraception or marriage it’s cuz they’re trying to change the subject,” Cruz said.

  1. They seem to forget that the ones fighting against allowing interracial marriage were DEMOCRATS.

  2. Good God, one hasn’t got anything to do with the other

    More Democratic fear mongering

  3. Don’t worry cruz, the new York Times accused Robert e. Lee of selling his slaves ” down the river” when in fact he set them free in support of the popular attempt to start a war — the civil war. In other words the Times has been lying to the public for 150 years calling themselves a news organization while in fact they peddle propaganda.

    1. Just like all the rest of the media. They are all controlled by Billionaires, globalists, Vanguard, and Black Rock. They report the same things and most often in the very same words. They are propaganda, not news. They are Pravda.

  4. Every 2 years the vile Democrats break out their Hate, Blame,Racism claims. Without scaring their stupid votes with some new claim or “boogeyman” -they have nothing.

  5. Truth hurts. Your news is all lies. Dropped my subscription, if I want to pay to be lied to, I will talk with a teenager.

  6. Google pay 97$ per hour my last pay check was $8500 working 1o hours a week online. My younger brother friend has been averaging 12k for months now and he works about 22 hours a week. I cant believe how easy it was once I tried it out it.. :) AND GOOD LUCK.:)..

  7. The interracial thing was all about slavery, in the way that “gay marriage” and abortion, quite obviously, are not. It’s difficult to have a race-based slavery system of any kind if the boundaries between races are too fuzzy. (Sounds like a very good reason to do away with the “one drop” rule.)
But then, taking responsibility for your actions, if you think moral license is freedom, would seem like slavery to you. And that’s why they see this connection that doesn’t exist. They really think if you take away this “freedom”, the other ones will be in jeopardy.

  8. As usual, Cruz is spot on. Though I would have loved to hear him call out (by name) Swalwell on the interracial marriage thing!
