Peer tells teachers parents at fault if trans students don’t ‘present in the way you think they need to’

A self-described “queer” teacher is facing scrutiny and anger over a stunning video he posted to his TikTok in which he seems to advise other teachers to indoctrinate their students further if they don’t act transgender enough.

“Teachers this is just a reminder that if you have a trans student who doesn’t present in the way that you think they need to, that’s probably from a place where their parents aren’t super supportive and they need more support from you,” the teacher, a biological male, says in the now-viral TikTok video.

The TikTok account that posted it, @justaqueerteacher, has since been made private, but copies of the original video remain on Twitter.

Critics say this is a perfect example of teachers indoctrinating students with their personal ideology.

Notice how the teacher’s remark focuses on what a teacher thinks about their student versus what their student thinks about themself.

The premise is that if the teacher thinks the student isn’t behaving as transgender as the teacher has deemed appropriate, then the teacher needs to offer so-called “support.”

Except that this support, critics say, is nothing but indoctrination and grooming rooted in pseudoscience (i.e., the teacher’s own unlicensed judgment):

Notice also how @justaqueerteacher tries to blame parents for a student not acting transgender enough.

This, critics say, is yet another example of, one, teachers making parents their enemies, and two, teachers acting like their students are their own children.

Unfortunately, @justaqueerteacher is not a bug or anomaly but rather a feature, in that America appears to be littered with paid teachers just like him.

Twitter accounts like EITC and LibsOfTikTok constantly find and then post TikTok videos of teachers eagerly promoting their methods of indoctrinating children.

In some cases, EITC and LibsOfTikTok’s work has led to teachers being fired.

Take Tyler Wrynn, a former 8th grade teacher from Oklahoma who was fired after LibsOfTikTok drew attention to a TikTok video of him telling children that if their parents don’t accept their supposed transgender identity, then “f–k them — I’m your parents now.”

Yet an untold number of additional teachers have yet to be exposed and/or fired.
