The Washington Post’s resident crybaby tech reporter Taylor Lorenz is writing a story to “expose” the woman behind the “Libs of TikTok” account and made the mistake of telling Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ spokeswoman Christina Pushaw about it in an email asking for a comment as well as reportedly showing up at the houses of the account owner’s family.
Pushaw went on to publish a screenshot of the email to Twitter, and the irony wasn’t lost on the fact that the activist/journalist had just made headlines for sobbing during an interview while discussing how online harassment allegedly prompted her to contemplate suicide.
The Bezos Post’s internet hall monitor is so excited to “expose” @libsoftiktok. Here is my comment: 🤡 pic.twitter.com/SodXls9NV7

Progressive journalist Glenn Greenwald even got in on the action, pointing out the blatant double-standard at work.
Taylor Lorenz is about to “expose” the private citizen behind some anonymous account on Twitter, and when people criticize her for it, she and her friends will claim Taylor is the Real Victim™ and anyone criticizing this type of “journalism” will be guilty of causing her trauma. https://t.co/RnAsVLRbDu

Only the narcissists in corporate media could take someone who grew up in Greenwich wealth and Swiss boarding schools, who regularly harms the lives of ordinary citizens with their massive journalistic platform, and tell the public: *she’s* the victim and can’t be criticized. pic.twitter.com/nFT2FwNFM3

In fact, reports indicate that Lorenz even went as far as showing up at the houses of the family members of the “Libs of TikTok” owner. (** Language warning)
Hi @TaylorLorenz! Which of my relatives did you enjoy harassing the most at their homes yesterday? pic.twitter.com/QehkBSgcmG

Fucking unbelievable: @TaylorLorenz, after sobbing on national TV 2 weeks ago, claiming she’s the victim of “harassment,” showed up at the house of the relatives of the citizen behind @libsoftiktok and badgered them, according to @libsoftiktok.
The bullies claim to be bullied.

BREAKING: I am told Taylor Lorenz even showed up at the homes of family members of @libsoftiktok today

If Lorenz has nothing else, she has the audacity, and that’s something Twitter users quickly noted in their responses:
Hi Christina,
I’m pretending to be a tech reporter at the Bezos propaganda outlet. We’re running a hitpiece doxxing the person behind an account we don’t like. If you have any comment, please build a time machine and let me know yesterday.
Thanks!

Wasn’t this the reporter who was just crying about online harassment???
— TA (@ToolmanTA) April 19, 2022
imagine threatening to “expose” someone who just reposts publicly available content
also interesting to learn that @washingtonpost @JeffBezos @TaylorLorenz are putting so much effort into doxxing@TwitterSupport how could they have determined the real ID of one of your users???
