A sickening video clip depicting a savage attack on a 14-year-old in a Brooklyn subway station was released by police on Tuesday.
The assault, which took place on the afternoon of March 14, occurred at the Van Siclen Avenue train station in East New York.
Details on the incident are sketchy, but it seems apparent that the video was recorded by one of the attackers, who filmed a selfie with the attack happening in the background. The clip was then posted to social media, in a brazen touch that nicely indicates just how much the thugs fear the long arm of the law.

“We will never have a proper country with this on our streets,” one person replied to a post of the video on the NYPD Crime Stoppers Twitter account. “New York, the new hate crime capital of the USA,” said another.
According to police, the incident involved one member of the group of seven males approaching the victim and asking him if he knew someone else. Before the teen had a chance to respond, the group set upon him and began punching and kicking him in the head and body. The crime appears to have been completely random, as the victim didn’t know his attackers.
The shocking assault is only the most recent in a long string of violent crimes that have beset New York City in recent months. Just yesterday, the New York Daily News reports that two men savagely punched a woman on a train in Brooklyn, and then assaulted the good Samaritan who jumped in to protect her. On Monday, a mentally-deranged man allegedly punched a 9-year-old girl in the face in Central Park.
And these are only a few of the more recent entries in a long, ignominious litany of crimes that have plagued America’s largest city, which has suffered for years under the anarcho-tyranny of one-party progressive rule.
The city’s new mayor, Democrat Eric Adams, swept into office on a campaign platform that indicated he would break with the soft-on-crime policies of his predecessor. The results, however, have been less than promising. As reported in the Daily Mail, crime in the Big Apple has increased by over 45% over the same period last year, with a 17.2% increase in assaults and a shocking 34.8% increase in rapes.
Robberies have become more brazen, and just last month a group of thieves looted a Louis Vuitton store at an upscale mall in White Plains, an outer suburb of New York City. In fact, thieves struck the same place not just once, but twice in the same week, which if nothing else indicates a total inability of the local government and law enforcement agencies to maintain even the most basic requirements of public order.
Adams, for his part, is keen to resolve the city’s crime crisis once and for all. To that end, he has enlisted the help of Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot, whose own city ended last year with 797 homicides—more than any other city in the country.
Needless to say, it doesn’t look like the Big Apple’s crime problem is likely to abate anytime soon.
