“The Five” co-host Jeanine Pirro slammed President Joe Biden as a “wuss” for his failures in dealing with Russian President Vladimir Putin and further blamed him for the “decline of the West” in a heated exchange with Geraldo Rivera.
The panel had been going through a discussion on “red lines” Tuesday where Rivera had just argued the debate shouldn’t be focused on Biden but rather Putin, whom he referred to as having “utter disregard for human life.” Rivera further asserted that Putin would not submit to any peaceful negotiation and therefore the United States should provide Ukraine with any military armaments they feel necessary.
Pirro was having none of it and flatly began, “I disagree with Geraldo.”
The argument was a simple one. If, as Rivera suggested, the invasion in Ukraine was about Putin’s goals and not reflective of Biden’s leadership, why, as many have asked, didn’t Putin invade during President Donald Trump’s administration?
Noting that invoking the former president was an atypical move for her, Pirro went on, “I tell you right now that he didn’t do it when Trump was president because he knew that Donald Trump would come in ‘if you touch one hair, on one innocent civilian,’ he wouldn’t care NATO or non-NATO. And don’t tell me that Putin isn’t afraid of someone.”
“Biden is responsible for the decline of the West,” the retired judge declared. “What we are seeing right now is a…I can’t say the word, is a wuss. We’ve got a bully in the yard, in the playground yard, in the schoolyard, and everybody’s back at the fence.”
Though Rivera attempted to interject, Pirro was unrelenting on the failings of Biden. Pointing to the untapped potential of oil left idle across North America, she indicated he was doing more harm to his own citizens as gas prices reached record highs and his primary response was to get the hashtag #BlamePutin trending on TikTok.
“All [Biden] has to do,” Pirro explained, “is turn to America and let us be the strength. He is destroying the West.”
“How do you know that Putin wasn’t playing Trump?” Rivera asked, setting Pirro railing against him as he tried to defend himself, asserting his personal affection for the former president.
“It’s not about loving Trump. It’s about the fact that Trump had everybody against the wall. And don’t think it was anything different.”
Rivera tried to invoke the potential thought process of Putin and Pirro shut him down again, “I don’t give a damn what Putin thinks! I only care about what Putin did. And he was a wuss when Trump was president and that’s the end of it.”
While it seemed difficult for Rivera to accept the reality of this situation, even typical woke ideology peddlers like Trevor Noah have come to the conclusion that this would never have happened if Trump were still president.
