Country music’s John Rich triggers leftists with ‘fact-checker’ tweet, Olbermann leads meltdown

The proliferation of so-called “fact-checkers” that more often than not come down firmly on the side of the official prevailing narrative and against conservative naysayers has caught the attention of country music star John Rich who rattled cages with an astute observation.

In a country where free speech is under assault as never before in the nation’s history, those who have been charged with policing the discourse have gained increasing power and influence by acting as gatekeepers for establishment power – particularly Democrats – and examples have continued to pile up that they may not be the neutral arbiters that they are portrayed as.

One case in point was PolitiFact’s rejection of Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo’s assertion that the Ukraine-Russia conflict would have an adverse effect on American consumers through rising gas prices, while stating that the U.S. has doubled Russian oil exports in the last year, a statement that was true but, nonetheless, was rated as “Mostly False” by the intrepid “fact-checkers” who have Biden’s back.

However, the devil was in the details because while it all but called Bartiromo a liar, PolitiFact noted that “The U.S. did double the amount of crude oil imported from Russia last year. But Russia accounts for only about 3% of overall U.S. crude oil imports in 2021.”

It is blatant contradictions like that that may have led to Rich’s keen observation that “Fact checkers never existed until the truth started coming out,” a tweet that didn’t go over well with many on the authoritarian left whose zeal for censoring those is only exceeded by their ignorance of longstanding American principles, particularly the First Amendment.

One agitated leftist who defended the censors was Keith Olbermann, the foul-mouthed former MSNBC and ESPN host who spends much of his time in his New York City apartment where he makes crazed YouTube videos and churns out vulgarity-saturated tweets.

“Hey, A**hat, what the hell is that supposed to mean? Do you have any clue? Or is that a lyric from one of your country ‘songs’?” Tweeted the once-respected mainstream media figure.

Rich responded to his triggering of KO with some love, a reply that will likely fog up the ex-anchor’s glasses.

Other defenders of the regime and its Ministry of Truth Oompa-Loompas swarmed to rebut Rich who clearly struck a nerve.

Still others shared Rich’s skepticism of the guardians of the narrative.

Rich isn’t shy about expressing his strong opinions on the platform and posted a scathing review of Biden’s State of the Union address, a grotesque spectacle of self-centered, out-of-touch D.C. elitists who have miserably failed America.

“To watch these politicians smiling, laughing, kissing each other’s a** and joking around while our country and the world BURNS is one of the most sickening sights I’ve ever seen,” he wrote.

His tweets also included an epic missive from last year on the quality of modern political leadership in America.

“If the Greatest Generation would’ve had the same attitude as today’s ‘leaders’ we’d all be speaking German or living under the flag of Japan. Patton/MacArthur weren’t fueled by soy and wokeness. It was fierce patriotism and the willingness to die for America that saved the world,” the music star wrote.

While there were “fact-checkers” in the past, they really started to multiply around the exact time that billionaire businessman and political outsider Donald J. Trump was on the verge of pulling off the upset of the century against the “unbeatable” Hillary Clinton. They have continued to grow in number ever since.
