‘We should be terrified’: VP Harris slammed for pushing Equality Act as folks fret about possible WWIII

The often tonally-challenged Vice President Kamala Harris has once again hit a sour note on social media, calling for the passage of the Equality Act as the world holds its breath and prays World War III and a potential nuclear catastrophe can still be averted in Europe.

“Let’s send the Equality Act to President Biden’s desk,” Harris tweeted Thursday. “We must increase protections for LGBTQ+ Americans across the country. The onslaught of state bills targeting transgender Americans and their families is wrong.”

“Wrong.” Like when a big country like Russia invades a smaller country like Ukraine, Kamala? That kind of “wrong”?

Or, maybe like how attacking a nuclear power plant and risking a Chernobyl-level event is wrong. Because that’s what Russian forces were doing on the day this tweet went out.

It’s tough to know what level of “wrong” we are talking about here, when so many things in our nation and in the world are so clearly very, very “wrong.”

Social media was quick to pound Harris for her inability to prioritize all the wrong things.

“What a luxury that we can be focused on pronouns during a time like this,” tweeted Forbes writer Lisa Song Sutton.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) stated that “inflation is screwing us, our border is lawless, and there’s a ground war in Europe” and Kamala feels “we need to get men in women’s sports asap.”

Foreign policy analyst Nile Gardiner thinks the Biden administration exists in an alternate reality.

“Meanwhile Ukraine is burning and Putin’s army is rampaging across Europe,” Gardiner tweeted. “The Biden presidency is living in the Twilight Zone.”

And news editor and president of News Cycle Media Jon Nicosia found Harris’s tweet just plain scary.

“This is what they care about,” Nicosia tweeted. “We should all be terrified that we are being led by these lunatics in such a dangerous period of time.”

Harris’s call to Congress comes as the White House reveals it is considering sending her to Poland and Romania as a sign of its solidarity with Ukraine.

Social media didn’t react much better to that idea.

In fact, Kamala Harris can hardly log on to Twitter without getting pummeled for something.

Take her explanation of the Russia – Ukraine conflict:

Or her “off-script” claim that voters “got what they asked for” when they elected her and Joe Biden, a comment that prompted Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to tweet: “The American people didn’t ask for any of this…”

Or that time when she was asked if the sanctions would deter Russian President Vladimir Putin and she responded: “Within the context then of the fact that that window is still opening, although, open although it is absolutely narrowing, but within the context of a diplomatic path still being open…”

Or…

Well, you get the point.

Perhaps after this latest misstep and the ensuing mock-fest, Kamala Harris will, too.
