President Joe Biden’s remarks about the ongoing crisis in Ukraine caught plenty of attention at one point during his State of the Union address.
With a warning aimed at Russian President Vladimir Putin for the continued invasion of neighboring Ukraine, Biden attempted to deliver a forceful message during his address to Congress and the nation on Tuesday night.
But his gaffe occurred at an inopportune moment when it sounded like he referred to the brave Ukrainian people fighting to hold on to their country as “Iranians.”
He began with a word on the situation in eastern Europe and said Putin had “badly miscalculated” the Ukrainian people.
“Six days ago, Russia’s Vladimir Putin sought to shake the foundations of the free world thinking he could make it bend to his menacing ways. But he badly miscalculated,” Biden said. “He thought he could roll into Ukraine and the world would roll over. Instead, he met a wall of strength he never anticipated or imagined. He met the Ukrainian people.”
“Throughout our history, we’ve learned this lesson when dictators do not pay a price for their aggression they cause more chaos,” the president added.
But it was his error that lit up social media.

“Putin may circle Kyiv with tanks, but he’ll never gain the hearts and souls of the Iranian people,” Biden said.
Sleepy Joe Biden during his State of the Union Speech yesterday referred to the Ukrainians as ‘Iranians’.
If this Trump there would be non-stop coverage.

Can’t wait for all of the mainstream media coverage taking Biden to town for calling Ukrainians, Iranians, such as they did when George W Bush or Trump would misspeak. Can’t wait…. #SOTU2022

Some even called attention to Vice President Kamala Harris seated behind the president who appeared to be mouthing what many thought was the corrected word “Ukrainian.”
LMFAO Kamala appears to mouth “Ukrainian” when Joe Biden said Iranian.

The high comedy was VP Harris trying to correct him and mouthed Ukrainians to him

Some who called out Biden for the gaffe wondered if he had said something else entirely and others criticized the fact that he had no intentional words about Iran.
Who are the Uranian people?

With COVID and now war many were worried the next problem would be from outer space. Biden did refer to either Iranians or URANIANs in Ukraine. Proving the Outer Space option may have actually happened.

Okay I stand corrected, Biden didn’t say Iranians but Uranians. Aliens from Uranus (the planet and not any orifice) hate Putin with all their hearts.

Biden just called the Ukrainians, Iranians. The only mention Iran will get in this speech and it was by mistake.

Other than “Iranians” gaffe, Biden didn’t mention Iran. He also didn’t mention North Korea. China was name-checked twice. Afghanistan War, a blip on the radar.
