Ottawa police to emulate FBI’s Jan 6 tactics, using video to hunt down protesters ‘for months to come’

Ottawa police have made much progress in dispersing the protesters who turned out in great numbers to demonstrate against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s tyrannical COVID measures but the nightmare may only be beginning for those who sought to have their voices heard.

In the latest sign that there will be severe punishment meted out to those who dared to defy Trudeau, Ottawa’s interim police chief made it clear that those who were present at the peaceful protests will be hunted down in a similar manner that those in the U.S. who were at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 were.

In a Saturday press conference, Steve Bell who replaced Ottawa Police Chief Peter Sloly after he resigned under pressure last week, told reporters that even those who left the area will be hounded by a government that has been weaponized against its own people.

Bell acknowledged that like the FBI with those who were merely caught up in the Jan. 6 chaos, that those in attendance in Ottawa were being recorded on video and will “absolutely” be identified and tracked down “for months to come” and their financial lifelines will be severed along with being charged criminally.

“If you are involved in this protest, we will actively look to identify you and follow up with financial sanctions and criminal charges, absolutely,” Bell said as he responded to a reporter’s question on whether police were gathering intelligence that will later be used for political persecution.

“This investigation will go on for months to come,” he added, “it has many many different streams both from a federal financial level, from a provincial licensing level, from a criminal code level, from a municipal breach of court order, breach of court injunction level,”

“It will be a complicated and time consuming investigation that will go on for a period of time,” he said, “you have my commitment that investigation will continue and we will hold people accountable for taking our streets over.”

Bell declined to directly address the police brutality against the demonstrators, videos of which have gone viral on social media, shocking the world with scenes that some have likened to China’s Tiananmen Square when the communist regime reacted with extreme violence to protests in 1989.

Many took to Twitter to comment on Bell’s vow as sell as the great Canadian crushing of dissent.

Like other leftist tyrants including major figures in the Democratic Party, Bell claimed that the militarized police are defending “democracy,” a word that despite its frequent usage, no longer remotely resembles the system of the classic definition.

Rather the “democracy” that Chief Bell and his fellow oppressors are so fond of is that of countries which have had their legitimately elected leaders overthrown in regime change operations and had a new set of rules forced upon them by their conquerors.

As was seen with the mostly peaceful protesters at the so-called “insurrection” as well as the unfolding situation north of the border and likely with any upcoming domestic version of the Freedom Convoy, the most undemocratic of all are liberal leaders who are intolerant of dissent and will use every tool in the toolbox to eradiate it.
