No questions: President Biden turns his back on press, again

President Joe Biden once again left reporters – and Americans – hanging when he exited without taking questions following a brief statement.

The president spoke for a few minutes from the White House Tuesday, addressing the tense situation with Russia and Ukraine and vowing he will “not send American servicemen to fight in Ukraine.”

“President Putin and I agreed that our teams should continue to engage,” Biden said of the Russian leader. “We should give diplomacy every chance to succeed, and I believe there are real ways to address our respective security concerns.”

But just 11 minutes after he began his remarks, the president showed reporters his back and promptly left the room without answering a single question.

The press pool shouted questions in vain as Biden did not so much as even glance back.

“Biden walking away with his back turned is maybe the defining image of Biden for his presidency,” NewsBusters’ Curtis Houck tweeted.

Indeed, Biden’s back has become an expected visual image to the White House press.
