Goldie Hawn is making heads explode after warning about the trauma COVID policies are causing kids.

Hawn, an Academy award-winning actress, is drawing ire from the left after she joined “Fox & Friends” on Fox News Channel to discuss her recent op-ed published on USA Today.

When asked how the nation can reverse the failures it has had for children, Hawn responded by saying, “We can start by looking at what we’re putting into schools. We can start looking at how we’re putting preventative social and emotional programs into schools.”

Hawn continued by telling co-hosts Will Cain, Carley Shimkus, and Brian Kilmeade that, “We’re dealing right now with a mental illness pandemic. Mental illness is something that can actually last; it’s very, very dangerous. If we don’t look at it and know what and how to handle it, then we’re not going to win this battle with kids.”

This opinion was too much for the denizens of Twitter to bear and they made sure to let Hawn hear it.

Meghan McCain was dragged into the mix after expressing her support for Hawn.

Others tried to put words in Hawn’s mouth.

These gut reactions from the Twitter mob show a failure to look into the details of any matter before opining on it. Had they listened to the full interview, read Hawn’s op-ed, or even just glanced at her bio at the end of it, they would have learned that in edition to her film career, Hawn is the founder and CEO of MindUP for Life started through her charitable work with The Hawn Foundation.

So, while Hawn may not be a child psychologist, which she never claimed to be, she has been working with scientific advisors for nearly 20 years now to use neuroscience “to help children develop the knowledge and tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions and face the challenges of the 21st century with optimism, resilience and compassion.”

Of course, if you consider the fact that White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended some of the most egregious measures that kids have endured throughout the pandemic like this…

— then it’s no wonder they so vehemently disagree with Hawn.
