President Joe Biden’s latest flub was highlighted in an NBC News sneak preview that set off another wave of head-shaking on social media.
NBC News has been airing excerpts from Biden’s sit-down interview with anchor Lester Holt who was called a “wise guy” by the president in one clip. The full interview is set to air on Super Bowl Sunday but one excerpt raised eyebrows not only for the latest iteration of Biden tripping over his own tongue but because NBC News chose to highlight it at all.
“And there is no way we were ever going to unite Ukraine…I mean excuse me Iraq…Afghanistan,” the president said.

Holt’s expression seemed to be the visual accompaniment to the reaction on Twitter.
Omg, this can’t be real.

It saddens, scares, and amuses me simultaneously that WWIII will likely be ignited by a Joe Biden brain tic.

NBC News chose to show one clip of Biden during “NBC Nightly News” in which he called out Holt in the softball interview, criticizing his question on inflation.
“Back in July, you said inflation was going to be temporary. I think a lot of Americans are wondering what your definition of temporary is,” the NBC News host asked.
“Well, you’re being a wise guy with me a little bit, and I understand that’s your job,” Biden retorted, going on to pin the blame on the supply chain crisis.

The president’s snippy outbursts at reporters have been well documented and Holt is just the lastest on the receiving end of his short temper as he responded to another inflation question last month by calling Fox News’ Peter Doocy a “dumb son of a b—-.”
Well, at least there was one ‘wise’ guy in the conversation

Wasn’t Lester just being a reporter doing his job? 🤔

That was an embarrassing interview. Hopefully our enemies are too busy to have seen this. Surprised @NBCNews @NBCNightlyNews @LesterHoltNBC didn’t edit/delete the entire thing.

Is being a “wise guy” better than being a “stupid son of a bitch”? Asking for a journalist friend…
