White House press secretary Jen Psaki completely dodged a question about why the visitor logs for President Biden’s Delaware homes aren’t being released, choosing to explain the completely depressing reason why he spent a quarter of his presidency so far outside of the White House.
A reporter asked Psaki if the White House was reconsidering releasing the visitor logs of his Delaware homes, which she totally avoided. Instead, she explained why the president travels to his home state so frequently; his son and former wife are buried there. And it’s his home.

“In light of President Biden’s first year coming to a close, the data indicates that he spent a quarter of his days at least partially in Delaware. In light of that, will the White House be reconsidering the decision not to release the visitor log information from his Delaware residences?” the reporter asked.
“Well the president goes to Delaware because it’s his home, it’s also where his son and his former wife are buried, and it’s obviously a place that’s close to his heart,” Psaki replied, dodging the actual question and completely avoiding the fact that the man who ran on leading the country through the pandemic was not at the helm for 25% of his first year in office.

That is probably not a good excuse to use after this long. It implies some guilt.
