Biden administration uses deep state and media to crush dissent

The Obama administration weaponized the Deep State—massive unelected bureaucracies that represent the “big” in our big government—in an effort to “fundamentally transform” America into a totalitarian socialist nation. Thanks to Obama, more and more decisions about how we live are being made by unaccountable bureaucrats. The Biden Administration is taking it one step further by empowering the Deep State to crush his political opponents. Who could have dreamed 20 years ago that Stalinist tactics would rule the USA?

Joe Biden has compared Americans who disagree with him—at least half the country—to racists and terrorists. Islamic terror is no longer the greatest threat to this country, according to a report ordered by the Biden Administration. Instead, the report alleges that domestic political extremism is “the most urgent terrorism threat the United States faces today.” The fallout from this accusation can be found in the unsubstantiated “insurrection” label placed on the January 6 Capitol protest and the attempt by the Justice Department to label parents as domestic terrorists if they oppose the teaching of critical race theory in schools.

“Who exactly are these terrorists who threaten us so urgently?” asked Tucker Carlson on Fox News. “They’re not what you might expect. The report did not even mention the deadly BLM riots that had just taken place. There wasn’t a word about Antifa. There was nothing about the gunmen who murdered 800 Americans in the city of Chicago last year, many of them children. Instead,” Carlson observed, “the Biden administration declared that the ‘most lethal elements’ of today’s domestic terror threat are political conservatives. These are people who disagree with Joe Biden.”

As a result of Biden’s unsupported allegation, the Deep State is having a field day. The Deep Staters in the DOJ have just announced the creation of a new domestic terrorism unit that will target “anti-authority ideologues.” Tucker Carlson pointed out that America “was founded by people who are anti-authority ideologues.” Our founding documents include “the idea of opposing authority so it doesn’t get too big and take over your life. These ideas are central to the American idea. But in this administration,” says Carlson, “they are now crimes. They are spreading the core lie here, which is that American citizens who distrust the government or don’t like its policies are terrorists.”

During Obama’s tenure, we saw how the IRS was weaponized to go after conservative groups. Obama was able to push through much of his leftist agenda by delegating authority to compliant Deep State bureaucrats like Lois Lerner at the IRS. Under Biden, the DOJ and FBI are being weaponized to go after Republicans.

“The FBI is now an organization solely focused on destroying the domestic enemies of the Democratic Party,” said talk radio show host Jesse Kelly.

The power of executive agencies like the DOJ and FBI has grown as Congress and the White House abdicate much of their power to the bureaucracy. The people we elect—the president and Congress—are merely a front for the Deep State. Everybody who lives within 15 miles of Washington is part of it, or so it seems. Of all the ways in which the Left is attempting to redefine America, its support for an enormous bureaucracy has been the most successful. The Deep State is beyond the reach of constitutional safeguards, and Joe Biden—or whoever is behind him—knows it.

Is there any truth to Biden’s allegations about domestic extremism? “This claim is ridiculous on its face,” argues Carlson. “There is no substantial right-wing terror threat in this country. There just isn’t. And no one has shown there is. The White House knows this, of course, they can read the numbers as well as anyone else can so they’re working hard to create the illusion of that threat.”

Not only is Biden weaponizing government agencies, he is also enlisting the media in his war against political opponents. TV host Lou Dobbs observed that Biden issued a call for media companies to silence dissent.

“Corporate Media is crushing what little dissent remains,” Dobbs tweeted. “DirecTV Cancels OAN after Joe Biden Orders Media Outlets and Tech Giants to Banish Voices that Deviate from the Regime’s Official Narrative.” Rep. Jim Jordan denounced the “purge,” asking, “Who’s next?”

CNN‘s Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy have advocated a complete ban on conservative networks from major cable systems. “If you don’t think Stelter, Darcy, CNN, The New York Times, Harvard, and the rest of the academic and media elites won’t go all-out to ban Fox News, Fox Business, and Newsmax next, you’re dead wrong,” tweeted Curtis Houck of NewsBusters.

“What Joe Biden is telling media companies to do today is to censor their content so it doesn’t contradict his decrees,” said Tucker Carlson. “[Biden is calling for] censorship of political opinions. What you’re seeing here is dangerous. There’s no other way to describe it. Far more dangerous than the domestic terror threat they’ve been bloviating about. It contravenes the First Amendment.”

The saga of Roger Stone is a good example of what can ensue from the Democratic Party’s blitz against political adversaries. Stone, a strong Trump supporter, was accused—with zero evidence—of colluding with Russia. Armed paramilitaries were sent to his home at dawn after CNN was tipped off so they could film it. This was “one of the darkest moments in civil liberties in recent history,” said Tucker Carlson. “The people who ordered that raid should’ve been brought up on charges themselves, but they weren’t. They were promoted. And now, thanks to Joe Biden, they have more power to harass their political enemies.”

And now for the good news: the Supreme Court is focusing its aim on the power of the Deep State.

“In the shadow of Thursday’s Supreme Court ruling against a sweeping federal vaccine mandate, another crucial legal battle is playing out,” writes Noah Feldman on Bloomberg, “a fight about whether and how much to dismantle the regulatory apparatus of the U.S. government.”

Justice Gorsuch wrote a separate opinion in the mandate case disputing that the Constitution allows Congress to delegate broad power to the Deep State. Justices Gorsuch, Alito, and Thomas want to scale back what Congress is constitutionally permitted to allow regulatory agencies to do. According to Gorsuch, the vaccine mandate may be an unconstitutional delegation of Congress’s essential legislative functions. “[If Gorsuch is successful, it would] vastly increase the power of the courts to overturn agency regulations,” said Feldman. “That, in turn, would put the agencies in fear of their own continued existence each time they regulated aggressively.”

There is also some bad news. According to Newsmax, “The bills [Biden is] pushing would be the death of democracy in our country. If you cut through the jargon and legalese, Biden’s ‘voting rights’ bill would mandate mail-in balloting in all states, strip voter ID laws in 35 states, remove the ability for states to manage their own voting rolls, and register non-citizens to vote.”

If this passes, the Democratic Party will never lose an election and Biden can shut down all his opponents with ease.
