An already horrifying case involving a suspect accused of sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl and then suffocating her to death has turned into an abominable nightmare thanks to new findings that the girl had allegedly been sold to the suspect by her money-desperate mother.

The mother, 35-year-old Georgia resident Kelly Siple, was arrested Tuesday in the death of her daughter, Kamarie Holland, whose body had been found in suspect Jeremy Tremaine Williams’ Phenix City, Alabama home weeks earlier.

According to Birmingham station WIAT, around 5:50 am on Monday, December 14, Siple reported her daughter missing. Hours later, Williams was “developed as a suspect” by authorities and found at a hotel in Phenix City.

“During their investigation, police received information that Williams lived at a home in the 1100 block of 15th Avenue in Phenix City that was vacant. After visiting the house, police discovered Holland’s body,” the station reported on the 19th.

The authorities said at the time that she’d likely died from being strangled to death and may have been sexually abused. Now fast-forward to this week, when Siple herself was arrested.

“During a court appearance Wednesday, Siple was charged with human trafficking and a number of murder charges, including murder during the course of kidnapping, murder during the course of sodomy, and murder during the course of rape. A judge denied bond in her case,” according to the latest reporting from WIAT.

The court appearance reportedly occurred in Alabama, where she’d been extradited to a day earlier.

She “was taken into custody about 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Circle K on Victory Drive by the U.S. Marshal’s Service. … She was held for several hours in Columbus before waiving extradition to Alabama,” according to station WKRG.

The charges were based on the bombshell allegation that Siple had reported her daughter missing after she’d first sold her daughter to Williams for money.

Siple “[o]n or about December 13, 2021, did knowingly subject another person to labor servitude or sexual servitude….she did agree with another person to pay her for having sexual intercourse and sodomy with her minor child,” her arrest warrant reportedly reads.

But it gets worse.

After the transaction, her daughter “was raped, sodomized, and then strangled to death,” according to WIAT.

It’s not clear whether the death occurred before or after Siple reported her daughter missing. It’s presumed it happened before and may have, in fact, been the predicate for her call to the authorities.

What’s known is that Williams “has been accused of abusing children in the past” and that “Siple and Williams had a relationship.”

Holland’s father, Corey Holland, has been left devastated by these events.

“The amount of pain Kristy has caused by ripping Kamarie out of our lives will never cease. We are glad to see that she has been arrested. We are one step closer to justice for Kamarie. We hope that justice is served. Kristy should receive whatever the maximum penalty she can get,” he reportedly said in a statement issued Tuesday by a family spokesperson.

“She’s a monster. A real mother protects and would die for her children. Kristy is a monster. My family and I will continue to wrestle with the loss of losing our angel Kamarie. We will ask that you continue to make your news about her and the justice she deserves,” the statement continues.

Siple had no issues summoning tears on live television while ostensibly mourning her daughter’s death two days after her body was found:

What was quite telling though was what she told local media at the time.

“I’m a mommy. I did not have nothing to do with this. She was my life. I lived for her daily. She was my only girl. I have three boys and her,” she said.

Why had she felt the need to say she’d had “nothing to do with” her daughter’s murder? It can now be assumed by some that she’d felt guilty.

It’s also known that she’d hadn’t had custody of her daughter — and her daughter had merely been visiting on the day she’d been taken and then allegedly murdered.

“Siple is currently facing charges of chemical endangerment of a child in a 2018 case in which prosecutors allege she exposed her fetus to marijuana while pregnant. She is set to go to trial on house charges early next year,” according to The Daily Beast.

What’s unclear is why she’d even been allowed to see her daughter in the first place. Because of a gag order issued by the judge, family members are unable to say at this time.
