One of America’s most beloved national restaurant chains is at the center of a political firestorm over a picture of a controversial sign that was reportedly posted on the front door of one of its locations blaming staff shortages and reduced hours on President Joe Biden’s economic policies.

Images of the sign captured at an International House of Pancakes location in Arkansas immediately went viral with users swarming Twitter to weigh in on the message which could become a public relations nightmare for the company that has served up delightful fare for over 60 years.

According to the sign, which was noticed by a visitor to the eatery: “Due to the fact that Biden gave out way too much free money and nobody wants to work anymore. We are forced to reduce our hours during this week.”

This was followed by the limited schedule which is bad news for early breakfasters and those seeking to get dinner during the week.

The picture was posted to Twitter by a user with the name Santa’s Flight Attendant who wrote, “Hey, @IHOP , my family and I genuinely enjoy going to your restaurants. But if this is corporate policy, I guess we won’t be visiting anymore. I know we’re just one small family, and we don’t matter, but we can’t eat at a place that condones this.”

Triggered Biden supporters flooded the social media platform to air their grievances with many claiming that they will never again eat at IHOP – although it is unknown whether they were ever regular diners to begin with or that it is just another opportunity to lash out at critics of the increasingly unpopular president.

Other Twitter users were generally supportive of the sign and dismissive of the leftist whining over it.

Restaurants across the country have been hit hard by staffing shortages and it’s hard to argue that Biden and his fellow Democrats’ policies haven’t contributed to the problems with many feeling little incentive to work as long as they are getting handouts from the government.
