While racial antagonism is generally frowned upon, not so for Vice President Kamala Harris, who recently met with an activist mostly famous for her strong opinions on what should be done with white women.
Cora Masters Barry, 76, met with Harris on Monday as part of Harris’ conference with various members of Black Women Leaders and Allies, where they talked about various things like race and the various voting accountability laws the Democrats have been up in arms about, the Daily Mail reported.
Barry, who is the widow of former Washington DC mayor Marion Barry, has gained notoriety for saying “f*** white women” while on a Zoom call prior to the 2020 election with activist Melanie Campbell and Rolling Out CEO Munson Steed, where she accused all supporters of then-president Donald Trump of being white nationalists in the Ku Klux Klan, either openly or in secret.
“Excuse me — forget the white women. They’re going to do what the white men tell them to do. They be smiling in their faces, they want to stay in charge. I don’t care nothing about them, we gotta do what we gotta do. I’m not saying everyone who voted for Trump is wearing a white sheet, but they got one in their closet and it comes out when we start messing with the economic value or the balance of power,” Barry added during the 2020 call.

At the time, Barry had been discussing white women who supported Trump, which was obviously a sore spot for Barry, who was a cheerleader and donor for then-candidate Joe Biden. Barry also went on to say that it was critical that Biden win the election so that Harris could be the first black vice president, saying that her organization must “start organizing to make sure that the next President of the United States is a Black woman.”
Barry was not the only controversial member of Harris’ conference. Campbell, who was present at that Zoom call, was back for the 20-person get-together. Campbell is a divisive figure in her own right, who made her stand supporting Tamika Mallory when Mallory came under fire for her support for militant black nationalist, anti-Smite, and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
